Leeds legend Lorimer likens Grayson to Revie
27.09.09 | tribalfootball.com

Leeds United legend Peter Lorimer has likened manager Simon Grayson to Elland Road legend Don Revie.

Lorimer said: “In many ways he reminds me of Don Revie. The two things which stand out about Simon, and which stand comparison with Don, are the way he demands discipline from his team and his work-rate.

“The way he prepares for matches as thoroughly as the gaffer used to and the huge desire are also points of comparison.”

Lash, as Lorimer was nicknamed, was one of the players responsible for setting the previous record under Revie.

“I don’t accept the argument that it’s not the same because we were in the old First Division and they are in the third tier,” he said. “You can only beat what’s in front of you. You are only as good as the division you are in.

“It has been a dream start and I’m delighted they have broken our record.

“I genuinely think this is the start of our way back. Ken Bates has transformed the club and in a few years time I think we’ll be back in the Premier League.”

Relativt tidlig i 2 omgang.

Veldig BRA
