To kamper igjen på ER denne sesongen, og de bør gi 6p.

Og da kan det vere greit å begynne med revansje mot Carlisle!
Det var vel omtrent med tapet tilbake i november at formen begynte å bli veldig variabel.

COME ON LEEDS !!

Dobie - injury-time strike.

DOBIE RESCUES CUMBRIANS
Substitute Scott Dobie's injury-time strike snatched Carlisle a 2-1 victory against Yeovil to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive.
Carlisle dominated the first-half exchanges but for all their pressure, the home side struggled to find the finishing touches.
It had been a largely frustrating afternoon for the Cumbrians against a Glovers side that defended doggedly after grabbing a first-half lead through Marcus Stewart's spectacular 28-yard effort.
The goal came against the run of play in the 38th minute and was a classy individual effort by the experienced Stewart, who fired a snapshot past Kieren Westwood and into the top left-hand corner.
Carlisle's attacking eventually told when Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's corner from the left was headed powerfully home by Peter Murphy - the ball cannoning off a defender as it flew past Asmir Begovic in the visitors goal.
Then teenage sub Gary Madine chested down Bridge-Wilkinson's cross and Dobie was on hand to smash home a volley from 10 yards.

og veldig viktig.
Passer kanonbra!
Er i Portsmouth denne lørdagen - bl.a. for å se Portsmouth vs. Newcastle.

Freedman: We have got our timing right

Dougie Freedman's prior experience of the play-offs taught him that timing is everything and the striker says Leeds United have chosen the opportune moment to reach out for League One's top six.
The 33-year-old joined a club whose season was dwindling in February, but Freedman always believed that a clearer examination of United's credentials would be made at the point of no return.
Leeds were divorced from the play-off zone eight days ago, but a surge in confidence which has been growing under Gary McAllister drew them back into the fold of the top six on Saturday.
Successive victories over Doncaster Rovers and Leyton Orient â€" the tail end of a spell in which Leeds have won five of eight league games â€" increased United's pace with five matches remaining, taking the club to the verge of qualification for the play-offs.
The club's arbitration hearing against the Football League, which will take place next week, was at one time viewed as a get-out clause should United find themselves toiling in mid-table; it is now a tribunal that Leeds can arguably afford to lose, assuming the worst-case scenario materialises and their 15-point penalty is upheld.
With three victories from four matches, United are one of the clubs who have moved with intent into the last month of the season. Southend United â€" unbeaten in 11 after last night's victory over Brighton â€" are also performing with ominous consistency.
The form of both teams contrasts to that of Tranmere Rovers, who have lost their grip on the top six, while a winless run of four matches has put the brake on Brighton.
Even Doncaster have recorded only one win in six.
Freedman said: "It's perfect timing for us.
"I can't say how crucial it is to be getting momentum and to come to teams and show them what sort of form you're in.
"In the last six or seven games we maybe had too many draws, but we're now picking up wins. That's what we need.
"Unfortunately I'm coming to the end of my career, but I understand what it takes and you need good form in the last six games. We're bang on hitting good form right now.
"It puts you in good stead for the play-offs but you've got to get there first.
"We've just nicked in and we've got crucial games coming up. We must keep it going."
McAllister's players saw United safely through a pressurised programme last week, beating teams in Doncaster and Orient who have held positions in or around the top six all season, but this weekend will proffer another demanding challenge in the shape of Carlisle United.
The Cumbrian club held Swansea City to a goalless draw at Brunton Park last night and are the essence of consistency with only one defeat from 15 games.
Carlisle are potentially two matches away from securing the second automatic promotion place in League One, but the intrigue surrounding Saturday's fixture at Elland Road has been increased by the margin of 15 points between John Ward's side and Leeds.
The margin will be insurmountable unless next week's arbitration panel rules in favour of United, a possibility which neither club can ignore.
Even allowing for a draw this weekend, Leeds would rise immediately into second position on account of their goal difference were their 15 points to be returned.
Having damaged the progression of Doncaster and Orient in the space of five days, United would open up an unlikely possibility by avoiding a fifth home defeat of the season on Saturday.
"Doncaster were in front of us and Leyton Orient just behind us, so they're two teams who were committed to getting into the play-offs," said Freedman.
"We felt confident that if we could nullify their chances, we could also enhance ours.
"But we've had a few good wins, not just in the last week.
"We've started to build up momentum and it's taken us into the play-offs at what's a very key time of the season.
"We're looking to get promotion, not just to get into the top six.
"The way we feel we've got to do it is through the play-offs and we've got to stay in there.
"There's no use getting there and then slipping out again."

Ward: We can't worry about Leeds United's points battle

Of all the clubs with a vested interest in the legality of Leeds United's points deduction, none will await the outcome of next week's arbitrational review with more apprehension than Carlisle United.
Leeds stand to gain heavily if a three-man panel of legal experts supports their claim that the Football League acted outside its jurisdiction by authorising the 15-point penalty last summer.
But behind the talk of what arbitration could do for the Elland Road club it is Carlisle who have most to lose.
The clubs are not direct competitors, and have not been for some time.
Carlisle stretched their legs while Leeds were limping through January and February, and the Cumbrian team could ratify their automatic promotion from League One by the end of next week.
Without the aid of arbitration, It is not a prize that Leeds are capable of denying them.
But understanding the significance of the 15-point margin that separates the clubs does not require mathematical brilliance.
The deficit would be wiped clear by a damning ruling against the Football League, allowing the small but relevant matter of United's goal difference to evict Carlisle from second position.
With that possibility at the back of their minds it would seem to add importance to the fixture awaiting John Ward and his players in West Yorkshire on Saturday, and it is with perfect timing that the Football League's fixture list has brought together the two clubs most concerned with next week's hearing.
But Ward is unfettered by the complexities or arbitration and calm about the effect it may have on the division. It is, he believes, a distraction that Carlisle can ill-afford to trouble themselves with on Saturday.
A game at Elland Road is enough to concentrate the mind, Ward says. United's fight with the Football League will take care of itself.
"Of course I'm aware of it," said Ward. "It's been up in the air for a long time. But as a manager you have to ask yourself 'what can I do about it?' The answer is absolutely nothing.
"The 15 points are not my business and we're not going to Elland Road with the attitude that we have to win in case Leeds get their points back next week. We have to win because we want to be promoted automatically, and we're very nearly there.
"Somewhere along the line you risk getting distracted if you concentrate on issues which are nothing to do with you. A game at Elland Road is difficult enough without worrying about things beyond your control. I've got my job to do and so have the players, and it's a job we have to finish."
Without the interference of arbitration, it is unlikely that Carlisle will fall at the last.
Ward's players withstood an onslaught from Swansea City to record a goalless draw with the division's leaders at Brunton Park on Tuesday night.
The point gained, as Ward described it, put six between Carlisle and Doncaster Rovers, the sole remaining threat to second place unless United's deduction is revoked.
Ward was appointed as Carlisle's manager in October, the permanent successor to Neil McDonald who was inexplicably relieved of the job after the first game of the season and is now part of Gary McAllister's coaching staff at Leeds.

Carlisle-legenden Hughie McIlmoyle's spalte i lokalavisa Cumberland News:

Leeds’ points plea should go in the bin

CARLISLE's opponents tomorrow Leeds United will hear the verdict of their protest against their 15 point deduction next week.
I doubt they'll get their points back. I certainly hope they don't, I just don't see how the Football League could do it.
There would be absolute uproar among all the other clubs â€" especially the likes of Rotherham, Bournemouth and Luton who all had ten points deducted at the start of the season.
I can't see what the heck it's all about. In the past clubs would have just taken it on the chin, that's what Leeds should do.
Giving them their 15 points back would put them level on points with Carlisle as the table stands, it'd become an absolute nonsense.
Games like tomorrow are what football is all about. If three seasons ago someone had told me we would be in this position and in with a feasible chance of getting into the Championship I'd have never believed them.
I was very disappointed Leeds only gave the club 1,700 tickets for tomorrow's game because I think 4-5,000 fans would have travelled to Elland Road given the chance.
I don't think the players will have any fears about the game. They're almost at the winning post and they'll all be putting in 100 per cent to inch themselves over the line.
Leeds will certainly be more worried about the game than Carlisle because they need the points more than we do.
As for the game the other night I was very impressed with Swansea, they played really well and you could see why they're top of the league and why they've scored more goals than anyone else. All it needed was a little moment of magic to break the deadlock.
Swansea were a bit sharper and kept the ball better but Carlisle's back four did really well and the whole team - as always - worked really hard for each other.
They battled hard and deserved to get what was a good point. It was a fantastic game and a great advert for League One football.
I'm not sure Carlisle can catch Swansea now but I'll be quite happy if we finish second and go up automatically.
We would certainly have taken that at Christmas, never mind the beginning of the season.
I've been feeling very nervous watching the last three home games. I never thought I'd feel like that at a football match because I was never nervous in the slightest as a player. It gets to the point where you don't even like watching the other team getting the ball.
I don't know where these nerves have come from because it's not as if the team are playing badly - maybe it's my age!
The pressure is all on Doncaster now because they're six points behind Carlisle and they're running out of fixtures. Realistically they need to win all four of their remaining games and then they have to hope Carlisle slip up.
It's a dangerous time of the season though because one mistake can be absolutely pivotal.

AS I was at the Swansea game I wasn't able to watch the Liverpool v Arsenal game in the Champions League. I rushed home to watch the highlights though and I'm glad I did, it looked like a brilliant game.
You could feel the tension when Steven Gerrard stepped up to take the penalty in front of the Kop â€" he absolutely walloped it in. Theo Walcott's run was fastastic as well, he showed so much strength before cutting it across for Emmanuel Adebayor, it was brilliant to watch. Gerrard said after the game it was one of the worst games he'd ever played. It's like a striker scoring a hat-trick and then saying he had a bad game! I certainly wish I'd had a few bad games like that in my career!
Rafa Benitez came in for a lot of stick earlier on in the season for resting players but he said at the time he was resting them so they'd be fresh for the later stages of the Champions League. He has been proved right because Gerrard and Fernando Torres in particular are looking absolutely terrific.
I think Liverpool will go on and win the Champions League now. They're like a different team in that competition.

Beckford set to face Carlisle

Beckford clear to play

Jermaine Beckford is on course to shake off an ankle injury and line up for his 40th league appearance of the season tomorrow.
The Leeds United striker sustained an ankle injury at Leyton Orient last Saturday but a positive training session yesterday appears to have cemented his inclusion against Carlisle United this weekend.
Beckford scored his 20th goal of the season at Brisbane Road, and his steady recovery should prevent boss Gary McAllister from being required to break up the forward's blossoming partnership with Dougie Freedman.
Darren Kenton and Rui Marques have also resumed training following spells on the sidelines with hamstring strains, and McAllister will have a near full-strength squad to work with tomorrow.
United's boss said: "Darren and Rui both trained and both looked very sharp. They come back into the squad, which is a plus for us.
"Jermaine is a bit sore but he's increased his training so I'm more positive about him."
McAllister's only worry is the loss of Alan Sheehan, who begins a two-match ban this weekend, and he is likely to choose between Kenton and Andrew Hughes to occupy the vacancy at left-back.
Leon Constantine is back at Elland Road after his loan with Oldham Athletic but will not feature in tomorrow's squad with four other strikers available, and Alan Thompson has been omitted again as his fight to overcome a calf injury continues.
McAllister said: "Alan's (injury) has gone from a hamstring to a calf, and we've given him a bit of time away.
"He's finding it hard to get back to full fitness so we've given him a break and he'll come back in on Monday."

United (from): Ankergren, Kenton, Richardson, Michalik, Huntington, Marques, Kilkenny, Douglas, Howson, Johnson, Hughes, Prutton, Sweeney, Carole, Beckford, Freedman, Kandol, Elding, Lucas.

LORIMER: Gary so right to ignore the off-field battles

Peter Lorimer

Peter Lorimer, Talking Soccer

Gary McAllister is a level-headed manager and if I was in his position I'd be taking the same approach as he has to the furore over Leeds United's 15-point penalty.
The fight with the Football League started long before Gary arrived at Elland Road, but even if he felt the full injustice of the situation, I'm sure his attitude would be identical â€" ignore the off-field battles and get on with the job in hand.
There is nothing he can do about next week's arbitration hearing.
A similar principle applies to the players and their task is to reach the play-offs, nothing more.
If they do the maths they will work out that automatic promotion would be firmly within their grasp if the 15 points are returned, but they are best to act as if the points are gone for good.
As far as I can tell, the players seem to have put arbitration to the back of their minds â€" which is where it should be.
But while Gary and his squad concentrate on the job in hand, the city and the supporters will see next week's tribunal as a crucial matter and one that may shape the season.
This campaign has been played the hard way so far and there is a part of me that thinks a victory at Wembley in the play-off final would be the most fitting way to secure promotion.
But the play-offs are a world of uncertainty. Over the years we've seen so many upsets and so many strange results in these end-of-season matches.
Leeds are clearly good enough to beat any club they come up against in the play-off semi-finals or the final, but the final, in particular, is a one-off occasion when anything can happen.
If you offered me the 15 points back and the chance of automatic promotion again, I'd snatch it in a second.
The aim for United this season is to get promotion and to get out of this league, by hook or by crook.
The reason that a top-two finish is so valuable is precisely because it prevents a very good campaign from being ruined at the death.
As far as "doing things the hard way" goes, I believe Leeds have done that.
The players at Elland Road have amassed 79 points, which is an outstanding total and the return of the Football League's deduction would lift us up to second place â€" on goal difference and on merit.
Carlisle occupy that position at present and their ambition of reaching the Championship adds an element of fascination to tomorrow's game against John Ward's side at Elland Road.
If the tribunal rules against Leeds, they are out of Gary's reach regardless of this weekend's result.
But if United beat Carlisle and win the arbitration hearing, the lead over the Cumbrians would be three points with a game in hand.
That situation may not materialise, but it is a wonderful prospect and one that is possible.
Carlisle, of course, inflicted our first league defeat of the season and the 3-1 loss at Brunton Park in November was probably the start of our slide around Christmas.
But they'll encounter a different Leeds United tomorrow.
That is not to under-estimate Ward's players, who are in second place on account of their excellent home form.
Carlisle are the surprise package of the division and they deserve credit for their results and credit for their league position.
Unfortunately for them, I get the feeling that Leeds are on a roll and Gary tells me he's having to rein the players back at the moment.
They're all desperate to play and I expect them to come good again tomorrow.

McAllister: Forget the 15 points

Leeds United boss Gary McAllister

Gary McAllister will detach himself from talk of Leeds United's 15-point battle tomorrow when his players meet the club they could still beat to automatic promotion.
United's challenge against their stringent points deduction will be heard by an arbitration tribunal next week, and the effect of a decision in favour of Leeds will relate directly to the outcome of this weekend's fixture against Carlisle United.
Carlisle occupy one of two automatic promotion places in League One and hold a 15-point advantage over Leeds, but United have a game in hand and would take control of second place were the arbitration panel to overturn their punishment.
Officials at Elland Road believe they have constructed a compelling case against the Football League, who authorised the deduction eight days before the start of the season, and victories over Carlisle tomorrow and Huddersfield on Tuesday â€" allied with a positive ruling next week â€" would send Leeds to Millwall next Saturday with a top-two finish in their hands.
McAllister's team are in promising form and their appearance in the top six last Saturday marked the first occasion when Leeds have held a play-off position during McAllister's tenure, and the 43-year-old said: "We've looked at every single breakdown there is to look at, don't worry about that. I'll keep my feelings to myself, but it's just nice to be in there without relying on getting the points back.
"Confidence is a big thing in a player's mind, but the message from me to my players â€" and we've been at them all week â€" is that we can't relax and have a big sigh of relief because we're back in (the top six). We have to make sure we're the form side at the end of the season.
"It's been a fantastic effort by everybody recently and things have come together. There's a nice air of confidence about the place but that only comes from results, and the players have gone and got the results.
"There have been some big games recently and we've responded by pushing ourselves back to where we want to be. We cannot lose any focus."
United's last four results â€" comprising victories over Orient, Doncaster Rovers and Walsall and a draw with Brighton â€" have come against teams with a chance of qualifying for the play-offs, and the visit of Carlisle to Elland Road tomorrow is another meeting with one of the division's most prominent sides.
McAllister and his assistant, Steve Staunton, took in Carlisle's 0-0 draw with Swansea at Brunton Park on Tuesday, and McAllister said: "I'm really pleased that I managed to get up to see them live, rather than depending on DVDs and match reports.
"They've done fantastically well off the back of a great home record and I don't feel that anyone would have predicted Carlisle being up where they are. You've got to hold your hands up and say they've done great."
