Aston Villa striker John Carew is a £5m target for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

O'NEILL PLAYS DOWN CAREW TALK
Martin O'Neill insists Aston Villa striker John Carew remains a key part of his plans amid speculation linking him with a January move to Fenerbahce.
Carew's representatives are reported to have held talks with the Turkish club over a possible move for the Norway international.
But O'Neill has stressed Carew has a key part still to play at Villa despite struggling to reproduce his best form on a consistent basis this season.
O'Neill said of the mooted deal: "I've no idea about that at all. Absolutely not - but it's that time of year again coming up. There's nothing in it.
"I haven't spoken to John or his agent about it. He's played in Turkey before and I'm sure that won't be the only link to one of our players this season. I've not even bothered to chase it up.
"We're at a really important stage and John is very important to us. I would be pretty loathe to be losing players.
"John has been an integral part of the side, he's done very well and I want a bit of genuine competition for places, which I think I have at the moment - maybe not everywhere but in a number of areas."

PEDERSEN HINTS AT CELTIC SWITCH
Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pedersen has hinted he would be interested in joining Celtic.
And the Norway midfielder, whose Ewood Park contract expires in the summer, has described the Hoops as "a big club" with the attraction of European football.
The 28-year-old said: "Lots of people care about the club. The fact they play regularly in Europe is a bonus.
"I have never played in the Champions League and it is something I have always dreamed of."
Blackburn have been in negotiations over extending Pedersen's contract but he has recently found himself out of the side.
He added: "I have no influence over the contract negotiations. My agent Rune Hauge takes care of all that." (PA)

Notts County chief Sven Goran Eriksson flies to Spain in bid to keep dream alive
Sven Goran Eriksson has launched a desperate bid to find fresh funds for Notts County by flying to Puerto Banus in Spain to meet Norwegian telecoms millionaire Idar Vollvik.
Eriksson is still helping owner and chairman Peter Trembling in his search for financial backers, despite last week's walk-out by Swedish coach Hans Backe and the failure of the company who recruited him to provide any backing for the club.
But Eriksson's long-term future as director of football is still in doubt and dependent on new money being invested, with Vollvik yet to decide whether to back them.
Eriksson, who is preparing for Monday's League Two clash at high-flying Bournemouth alongside caretaker boss Dave Kevan, last week declared he was 100 per cent committed to the club.
Trembling launched a management buy-out last weekend from previous owners Munto Finance after the controversial company, based in the British Virgin Islands, failed to identify their backers and were unable to provide the investment they had promised.
Trembling, who yesterday returned from New York, denies the club are in financial crisis - something Bournemouth know plenty about - but confirmed that Eriksson has met Vollvik.
'I think he was over there on Monday or Tuesday but I haven't had a chance to catch up with Sven on that,' he said.
'Funds aren't particularly short. We need investment to help us achieve what we set out to do. The sooner we get that investment then we can get on and do that, but in the meantime the funds are there to run the club day to day. That's not an issue.'
Trembling also denied reports staff had been told there was only money to keep the club going until January.
'That's absolutely not the case and people aren't giving you the true story,' said Trembling.
'It's like any business: you look at your projected income for the year and look at your costs. We've done that and got all that covered. The investment is to push us on to the next stage. Every club is looking for new players and our club is no different.'
Trembling will also reassure Football League officials this week about the company he set up last weekend, known as PEWT Ltd, to perform the management buy-out.
Trembling says that no assets will be passed from the football club, currently trading as Blenheim 1862, to PEWT, who were purely set up as to complete his management buy-out in a tax efficient way. PEWT own 90 per cent of the shares of Blenheim 1862.
The takeover of the club by Munto Finance last summer sparked a Football League investigation in September after it emerged they used businessman Russell King as a key adviser.
He is under investigation by authorities in the Channel Islands and has assets worth £1.9million frozen because, according to a Jersey court, he obtained loans 'under false or fraudulent pretences' and owes a finance company £1.3m.
Bournemouth await County still wallowing in the fall-out of their own financial crisis which saw the club docked 17 points last season and sent to the brink of being wound up.
Manager Eddie Howe has earned plaudits for hoisting Bournemouth into the top three despite a small squad and a transfer embargo.
Howe, though, is more pained by last week's 5-0 drubbing at Morecambe, their heaviest defeat for eight years.
'It was disappointing because up to then we had been watertight,' he said.
'But we mustn't over-react because our season is still going far better than expected.' Backe stepped down as County boss 17 days after he had guided them to an FA Cup second-round success against Bournemouth, and Howe said:
'He seemed a really nice guy. He was very knowledgeable about our players and the league we play in.
'But we've had caretaker managers come down here twice. (Daily Mail)
