"1st of all this is a campaign being run by one individual in a national newspaper who hasn't any particular significance, the man's based in Harrogate and it's significant that one of his big contributors is the Harrogate MP and this is part of the continuing aggravation being provided by certain individuals within the Leeds area"
"The fact of the matter is it's all overstated and overblown, the Football League haven't carried out an investigation they are obliged to pick up what had been written by David Conn and asked for clarification which isn't the same as an investigation. Shaun Harvey had a meeting with the FL yesterday and presented the information they required and as far as we're concerned there is no further question to be asked or answered"
"It's all above board they are private investors who own Leeds united who for reasons of their own don't wish to have any publicity, and that's fairly understandable when you consider the rubbish that has been written about certain other owners in the newspapers. The club is being run by me in conjunction with Patrick Marrin both of whom have passed the fit and proper persons test for the football league, nothing's changed there and it's business as usual"
