Naylor hopes to seize the day at Wembley

Leeds United captain Richard Naylor intends to grasp the opportunity of another appearance at Wembley after helping the club move to within one step of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.
Leeds qualified for the last stage of the competition's northern section with a 2-0 victory over Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night, and a two-legged tie with Carlisle United stands between Simon Grayson's side and an outing in the final at the national stadium on March 28.
United are favourites to win the minor trophy, a prize the club had never competed for before 2007, and progression to the final would allow Naylor to follow up his outing at the old Wembley stadium with an appearance at the new venue.
The former Ipswich Town defender turned out at Wembley nine-and-a-half years ago when he came off the bench to score in a Division One play-off final between Ipswich and Barnsley.
Naylor said: "I played at the old Wembley so, from a personal point of view, it would be nice to play at the new one.
"I scored at the old one as well so it would be even better if I could do that again. But we've got to get through the next round first, and Carlisle were very good when we played against them earlier in the league. They're a decent team in this division."
United's record in finals at Wembley is historically poor, and the club were beaten at the new ground last year in the final of League One's play-offs.
Naylor â€" a lifelong Leeds fan â€" is aware of the club's history but said: "This is a different squad of players and a different manager.
"If we get to the final then I'd expect these players to do well in it. I don't think there's a jinx involved â€" everyone's got history, and Leeds have got good history and bad history. Everyone would want to go there and perform."

Carlisle qualified for the northern final by beating Bradford City on Tuesday night, and their convincing 3-0 win set up a repeat of the dramatic 2008 League One play-off semi-final between the clubs.
The first leg of the regional final will be staged at Elland Road during the week of January 20, with the return leg to take place at Brunton Park midway through February.
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott, who worked for several years as a youth-team coach at Leeds, said: "It's brilliant for the club.
"Leeds is something to look forward to and there's excitement about the second half of the season." (YEP)

Carlisle wait on Taiwo decision: Cumbrians agree permanent deal with Chelsea for midfielder
Carlisle United are waiting for Chelsea midfielder Tom Taiwo to make a decision on a permanent move to Brunton Park.
Taiwo spent the first half of the season on loan with the League One side and made 28 appearances for Greg Abbott's men.
His initial loan has now expired and Carlisle have agreed a deal with Premier League leaders Chelsea to re-sign the 19-year-old.
However, the Cumbrians now want to land Taiwo on a permanent basis and are hoping the youngster will decide on his future in the coming days.
"We have been talking to Chelsea on and off over the course of the last month, and we have reached an agreement with them about the player," managing director John Nixon told the club's official website.
"This one is taking slightly longer than normal because we want to make the deal a permanent one, rather than just a further loan.
"As I say, the clubs have agreed terms, and it is now a case of finalising the remaining details with the player and his representatives.
"We expect to have something concluded during the early part of this week."

Snow and ice forcing Carlisle Utd to train in Leeds
Carlisle United’s desperate search for a training facility during the big freeze is taking them on a 240-mile round trip to Leeds today.
For what could be Vincent Pericard’s last training session with the Blues, manager Greg Abbott has sourced a 3G (Third Generation) synthetic surface in the Yorkshire city which has been unaffected by the recent big freeze.
United’s own training facilities in Carlisle have been largely unusable in recent weeks due to the weather, leading Abbott to take his squad on a 120-mile trip today and tomorrow at least.

Hvor mye penger er det egentlig å hente på denne turneringen?

like viktig som pengene er jo matchingen.

Snur vi trenden her?

Håper SG mixer lag oppstillingen opp litt

                   Ankergren

Crowe - Paddy - Naylor - Parker

Snodgrass - Howson - Kilkenny - White

                  Grella - Beckford
--------------------------------------------
Benk: Lubo, Hughes, Martin, Becchio, Prutton, Robbo, Hunty
