No guidance on when a verdict in the McCormack case will be published but the FA is unlikely to say anything until it appears. #lufc

Here we are again.
 
For the second season in the last three, we see the current custodian of our beloved football club subject to yet another lengthy ban for his flagrant disregard for rules and regulations.
Despite the fact it subjects our beloved Leeds United to a period further instability, we welcome the FA for taking a stance on corruption in football: it needed to be addressed. However, we do not blame the FA for indirectly causing the instability. That blame lies at wholly at Massimo Cellino’s doorstep.
 
While we don’t have the written judgement of the case, illegal payments to agents have ranged from small fines (in the case of Arsenal) to a 10 point deduction (in the case of Luton Town). We are relieved that the club has not been subject to a much stiffer penalty and that the real culprit has instead been punished.
 
Time To Go Massimo thoroughly condemn Massimo’s actions, which are the very latest in an incredibly long line of misdemeanours. Refusing to pay the VAT on several personal vehicle purchases, making payments to unlicensed agents, allegedly breaking the rules on 3rd party ownership; where does it end?!
 
We are well aware that discussions to sell Leeds United to Andrea Radrizzani are all but completed and implore Massimo to complete this deal immediately, for the sale of the entirety of his shares – not a convoluted 50% share purchase. We ask that he sells it all, and sells it now.

Jeg kan forstå Cellino veldig godt, dersom det er usikkerhet rundt eventuelle salgsvilkår som drøyer/har drøyd prosessen.

Én ting er å verdsette klubben isolert sett, men om det nå er slik at ny(e) eier(e) skal inn med 50% nå og har en opsjon på den siste halvparten, vil det selvsagt være i MCs interesse å ha ett vilkår for videre Championship-spill og ett dersom klubben rykker opp og vasser i pundsedler for salg av de siste aksjene. Også blir det fort en diskusjon - dersom klubben legger ut noen pund for nye spillere i januar - om hvem som er ansvarlig for opprykket.

 Selv om jeg ikke er enig i at Cellino har satset hardt økonomisk på klubben (med det mener jeg at mye har vært betalt av salg på klassespillere) er jeg ikke i tvil om at han selvsagt har tapt penger på klubben - antakelig en god del også. Selv om han får føle ansvaret på mye av det selv. Tenker spesielt på store advokatregninger.

Regner med det hadde vært langt greiere om klubben hadde vært spikra mid table. Nå ser plutselig laget ut som en utfordrer til opprykk og jeg antar at det vil være tøffere å selge, både i henhold til prisen og om MC kunne tenkt seg å stå i aksjeboka som en av eierne som tok klubben tilbake til toppen.

Med majoriteten av fansen på ryggen (med rette i mine øyne), ville det nok vært en søt "hevn".

Nelson7 er egentlig en litt kontroversiell type som kan støte en del fra seg med ordbruken sin, men Petter har tidligere kreditert ham med at han innimellom har fått vite ting først av alle...

Ny 'erklæring' fra TTGM

Back in September, we had some information given to us from a source *extremely* close to Massimo (it wasn't passed directly to us from the source, and they didn't know it would reach us so there was no threat of it being misinformation to try and make us look stupid) which we were able to verify through 3 other independent sources that a deal had been agreed in principle for the sale of the club - with just the Share Purchase Agreement and other formalities including FL approval left to sort. We still believe that was 100% accurate at the time.
 
It became clear that this deal then began to fall apart to the point where it almost totally collapsed in October.
 
However. The deal was resurrected (in no small part due to the sheer resolve of Radrizzani) and it was put firmly back on track.
 
As of a week or two ago, the Share Purchase Agreement was being finalised - with creditors being contacted (who had also been contacted back in September but never had their cash paid due to the deal not completing on its original timeline) to be included etc.
 
We are now confident that this deal has been done, and whilst we've had a nod from a v reputable source that there may be an announcement within the next 7-10 days, we haven't yet been able to fully clarify that. As soon as we can, we'll let you know.
