I know their squad is already huge but I really feel that Simon's going to have to make some additions or changes to it, be it on loan in the next few weeks or more substantially in January. If I was him, I'd be hammering the phones of Premier League managers to find out who's available, who's affordable and who might be willing to come. He needs better players.
Cardiff's squad is proof of what's out there if you've got the money and willpower. Who would honestly have thought that Bellamy would wind up in the Championship when it first became clear that Manchester City wanted him out? Cardiff asked the question and got a result. Whatever it's costing them, they're getting more than their money's worth.
These are worrying times at Leeds, after four defeats from five games.
I don't see any way of glossing over that record. I only hope that a win materialises at Scunthorpe United on Saturday. Otherwise, the pressure will really be on.
