Recently released forward Mirco Antenucci has hit out at United owner Cellino...
Speaking to La Gazetta Dello Sport, Antenucci told the paper of the bond he retained with the Leeds fans and his ex-teammates. “The fans and some of my ex-teammates still write to me," said the 31-year-old.
However, he was very critical of Cellino and the forward, who played for Ternana prior to his two-year spell with Leeds, claimed that there was a lot of disorganisation at the club: "From Cellino, I’ve heard nothing, but I barely saw him when I was there," the striker said.
"We didn’t leave on the best of terms."
“It’s too bad there was so much disorganisation at the club.
Finally, the former Catania and Torino man blasted the departure of Nicola Salerno, who was the sporting director for a year at Elland Road: "After Nicola Salerno [sporting director] left, there was a lot of disorganisation.â€
Antenucci hit 19 goals during his two-year stay in England, and he now plays his football for lower league SPAL, after leaving United last month.
Da var vel ikke Cellino involvert i laguttaket da!
