Cellino official completes takeover with David Haigh departing

It is being reported that Eleonora sport now own 75% Leeds United, meaning Massimo Cellino is free to do what he wants with Leeds. It seems that the first thing he has done is remove MD David Haigh, despite it being written into the contract that Haigh would become CEO. Cellino is supposed to attend the Watford game tonight.
News has also come out today that Leeds United have made a loss of £9.5m, which would put us under threat from Financial Fair play rules. It could result in us suffering a transfer embargo next January. Leeds’ total debt in the 2012-13 accounts is recorded as £22m. Cellino has made a big commitment, he paid more than we’re worth and also took over the debt so good luck to him.

Dette var da en usedvanlig dårlig skrevet og uredelig artikkel hvor journalisten driver en merkelig samrøre mellom GHF, Farnangruppen og en potensiell investor gruppe fra Quatar, samt en sannsynlig lyssky skikkelse kalt Andrew Umbers...

Kan ikke se at det her avdekkes noe som helst annet enn at Farnan i november vurderte klubbens verdi til ca halvparten av GHF sitt prisforlangende. Ut fra hva vi vet nå, antagelig en langt mer riktig pris enn hva Cellino angivelig må betale for den. Etter dette har jo Farnan også gått sammen med flere andre investorer i "Together Leeds", som har en annen sammensetning enn hva "Farnangruppen" i november hadde...

Konklusjon: Hva Farnan og TL gruppen faktisk har av penger vet vi fortsatt lite om. Sannsynlig får vi aldri svaret ettersom det synes som om Cellinos 75 % aksjonærpost endelig synes å være i boks, og at han ikke har noen intensjoner om å innlemme TL i eierskapet...

Massimo Cellino has officially completed his takeover of Leeds, the Italian businessman's lawyers have confirmed.

Cellino's company Eleonora Sport Limited has completed its purchase of 75 per cent of the club's shares and the 57-year-old has taken his place on the board of directors.

"Massimo Cellino has now been appointed a director of LUFC Holdings & ESL has completed its purchase of 75 per cent of the shares of LUFC Holdings," Cellino's legal representatives Mishcon de Reya tweeted.

Da er avtalen i box, ser det ut til.
Da mangler det bare at vi vinner i kveld og dermed på det nærmeste sikrer plassen, så blir natt til 9.april mye bedre enn den var for 74 år siden.

Hadde vært litt kult hvis vi ikke får kjøpe spillere i neste januarvindu pga økonomisk rot. Det er Barcelona og Leeds som da ligger på dette nivået....

Skikkelig Cellino-effekt i London i kveld...  Veldig glad for en avklaring men skeptisk både kortsiktig og langsiktig. Han har viljen og økonomien, men null tålmodighet. Spennende blir det.
