Massimo Cellino has been linked with a return to Italy in recent months where he previously owned Serie A side Cagliari.
The 60-year-old fuelled reports at the start of the year that he will leave Leeds after he sold half the club to Andrea Radrizzani.
And the controversial owner has since been tipped for a takeover of Italian second-tier club Brescia.

Italian newspaper La Nuova claims Cellino is close to completing a deal for the club.
And the report says negotiations are at an advanced stage and could be finalised by next week.
The claims fly in the face of an official Brescia statement made last month, which stated there were no plans to sell the club.
"The company has not been sold and it is not at this moment in negotiations," the statement read.
"In particular there is no contact, direct or indirect, with Massimo Cellino.â€
Cellino has been Leeds chairman since 2014 but has become an unpopular figure with supporters who have campaigned on numerous occasions for him to leave Elland Road.
