Leeds United caretaker coach Neil Redfearn was happy with a hard working display as Leeds recorded a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers in his first game following the dismissal of David Hockaday in midweek.
Speaking at his press conference after the 1-0 win, Redfearn said, "I thought we played some great stuff in the first half.
"In the last twenty minutes I thought we were hanging on, which was disappointing because in the context of the game and the type of football we were playing, we didn`t need to be.
"I don`t think we were panicking, I just think we lost our way. The fact that we worked hard, we worked for one another, chased and tackle back, that got us over the line."
Leeds won thanks to a Stephen Warnock goal in the first half but owed much to an outstanding display in goal from Marco Silvestre and Redfearn was quick to acknowledge his performance after the game. "He was outstanding. He made half a dozen saves that were out of the top draw," continued Redfearn.
Silvestre denied Joe Mason on a couple of occasions but he saved his best until the final ten minutes when he made a double save to deny Jermaine Beckford and Lee Chung-Yong.
