It may not have been the win Leeds United's fans and players alike were hoping for, but Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic was a step in the right direction.
Two goals from Alex Mowatt looked to have sealed the victory for Neil Redfearn's side only for a late Johann Berg Gudmundsson penalty to ensure the Addicks traveled back to London with a point.
Mowatt's continuing good form was one huge positive, as was the overall performance of Leeds who Redfearn believed were the better side.
After the match, some of Leeds' players took to Twitter to reveal their thoughts on the encounter, with Jason Pearce replying to a post from Mowatt with the simple message 'Class mate'.
Lewis Cook echoed the thoughts of many fans when he wrote, 'Gutted not to win, but good team performance and two class goals from Alex Mowatt'. While Adryan wrote, 'Good game today, happy with our performance. We need to keep like this and win!'
The on-loan Brazilian also praised Mowatt for his star performance, as did teammate Liam Cooper, and it is clear the 19-year-old thrives under Redfearn, who in turn knows how to get the best out of him.
Now all Leeds need to do is start winning...
