Her er hva Leicester-fansen sier om Wood. Virker som en spiller med meget gode avslutningsegenskaper, men at han ikke er så god i allround-spillet og er dårlig på hodet i forhold til størrelsen…
'' If he goes, the best of luck to him, a very decent player.
That goal at Burnley will live long in the memory. ''
'' he's still quite young, personally would like to see him go out on loan for a season and then re-evaluate ''
'' Unfortunately won't make the grade at Premier League level with us, not to say he won't elsewhere.
Very much wanted him to succeed but appears to have limitations which are too big.
Would be positive to get a fee rather than a loan or free next season.''
''Victim of our club's success in many ways, if he's a regular at a Champ side he could easily do well again. ''
'' I still like him I do. Can still seeing him doing well in his career if he gets a bit of luck and restarts his career. Great finisher. It's just strange for a tall guy how bad he is in the air ''
'' Shame it hasn't worked out for him. He's played an incredible amount of football both domestically and internationally for such a young lad at 23. He's as good a finisher as anyone but just seems to lack in his overall game. Think it's the right thing for him to move on and I wish him all the success in the future. ''
''
Agree that it's the right time for him to go, knowing that he's one of the 'lesser quality' forwards that we've got.
I'm sure he'll thrive again, especially in the Championship. ''
'' A percentage sell on, and a min goals payment would be nice. I think under the right stewardship and game time under his belt he can achieve being a decent Champ striker. I hope he finds the club that suits him best and wish him all the best. ''
'' Good move for all parties. Will score goals in that league if given the service, but just don't expect him to play a big part in the build-up play. ''
''
Good deal for all parties. Think there's a lower Prem player in there. Think Leeds is actually a shit move for him compared to Wolves but there you go, more £££ for us.''
'' Agreed! He's surely got a far better chance of rebuilding his career at Molyneux rather than at 'basket case' Leeds. Will probably score a bagful at Elland Road, but ain't gonna be seeing the PL again soon....unless he moves yet again ! ''
'' Happy to see him leave. Had a lot of potential but never seemed to fit in with our tactics, but when we did rely on him he did produce most of the time. Won't be the last time we'll see him in the Prem that's for sure. ''
'' Nah, can't agree with this. Bloody awful at times admittedly but he's a very competent Championship player and scored some important goals for us. 20 goals in 33 starts probably doesn't tell the whole story but you can't be a dreadful player with a record like that.''
'' I think £3 million for a proven championship goalscorer is fairly cheap in this inflated market.
Teams have been quoted £4 million for 32 year old Daryl Murphy, apparently we bid £8 million for David McGoldrick last season, a league one striker cost Forest £5 million, Blackburn want £6 million for Rudy Gestede.
£3 million for Wood is a good deal for both clubs, we'll make a profit on what we paid for him and Leeds we'll get a young striker who knows where the goal is in that league.
