Brighton’s patient build-up, which attracts the opposition out, is key to them profiting on spaces left behind. Their goals per game average of 1.9 is bettered only by Man City (2.3) & Arsenal (2.2), while they’re also one of three teams averaging 3+ big chances per game. Punch.
Once the Seagulls bypass pressure, they accelerate up the pitch through their wingers. Solly March & Kaoru Mitoma both rank in the top 10 players for dribbles completed since October (both 31).
Mitoma, meanwhile, has the most dribbles completed in the penalty area (16). Drive.
Having found the attacking sting to accompany their control, Brighton have been on a fine run since October onwards. Since (and including) their 4-1 win against Chelsea, De Zerbi’s side have the fifth-best points per game ratio in the Premier League (1.9).
