Leeds United are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Largie Ramazani on a four-year contract from Spanish side UD Almería, for an undisclosed fee, subject to receiving a work permit.

Having spent time within the academy system in both Belgium and England early in his career, Ramazani moved to Spain in the summer of 2020.

He was an instant success whilst at the UD Almería Stadium after scoring in just his third appearance for the club, before becoming a regular in the side. He scored five in total in the 2020/21 campaign.

The 2021/22 season saw the forward, who can operate anywhere across the front line, play a pivotal part in promotion for La Unión by scoring nine goals, as they won the Segunda Division and went up to La Liga as champions.

His debut year in the top-flight of Spanish football started impressively, scoring against both Real Madrid and Sevilla inside the opening three games of the season.

Those performances on the pitch were rewarded with a call-up to the Belgium Under-21 side, where Ramazani showcased his talent once more, by scoring in his first start for his country. He has since gone on to represent them eight times at Under-21 level, scoring three goals.

Last season, the now 23-year-old chipped in with eight goal contributions for Los Rojiblancos and he has begun this campaign in fine form too, after finding the back of the net in the opening match of the season.

Ramazani now arrives at Elland Road after making over 100 appearances for Almería across both La Liga and the Segunda Division, adding firepower along with experience to Daniel Farke's side.

Everyone at Leeds United would like to welcome Largie to Elland Road. He becomes the club's fifth summer arrival and will wear the number 17 shirt.

Velkommen!

Farke on how Ramazani will deal with getting kicked
He has to learn, we will give him time. It's beneficial he was involved in academy football in England. He comes from a different football culture, from a different league and it would be unfair to say you've come from LaLiga and you're fully prepared for all the demands and intensity. We still have it sometimes with Willy Gnonto that he's in disbelief that some situations are not fouls. The more you're in the Championship, the more you get used to it. Largie has realised in training it's different. Our training referees allow a bit more to be prepared. We said before we signed him that we work on his temperament, and to prepare his body on the training level for the physical demands. We hope because he has played in a good league, in games against Real Madrid and Barcelona, in other ways he's prepared. We know he has the potential to do this. We can bring him to the door and it's up to him to step through it.

Farke on team news
How much Largie and Manor are involved, we will see. Definitely good that they are there. Largie has the advantage he has played this season, Manor was involved in four friendlies for Tottenham - in terms of fitness.

Farke on getting everyone up to speed
When we speak about new players, Largie Ramazani is judged as replacement for Summerville but he's not. I don't want to put too much pressure on his small shoulders. He's a young player who hasn't played a senior game in English football. Academy life and senior football is a different sport. He was playing in a really good league [in Spain] but a different football culture. It will last a while before he's ready for proper English football, also the intensity. We will give him the time to adapt, but he was important for the mid and long-term future, bags of potential, lots of skills. It was an important signing for us, but unfair to see him as one-on-one replacement for our top players last season. Georginio it took half a season for him to adapt to English football. I don't want to put too much pressure on our new players.

...gamlesjefen om Ramazani: He can improve his decisionmaking.

Tipper det vil være en gjenganger her inne etter hvert som vi ser ham spille :o

UD Almeria boss Rubi admits he cannot replace the 'spark and electricity' of Largie Ramazani but suggested the new Leeds winger needs to work on his decision-making.

Ramazani was handed a Whites debut off the bench during Saturday's 2-0 win over Hull and showed in brief moments how entertaining he could prove in the Championship. But his former boss has suggested there is still work to do if he is to truly replace a prolific finisher like Summerville.

"We don't have a winger like Ramazani," Rubi told Diario de Almeria. "It's true that he's a player who can make mistakes in his decision-making, but we don't have players with that spark and electricity in those five metres in the squad. In the medium term, if we don't get a replacement, we're looking to train a player from the reserve team or the youth team who can make the jump before time. But the idea is to look for a player with that profile on the market in time."

"Farke went to Europe to buy a Lamborghini, instead he bought a winger, his name is Ramazani. He scores them with his left foot, he scores them with his right, and when we win the Championship we'll sing this song all night."

Gøy at vi har børstet støv av den gamle Pontus Jansson låta :) en av mine favorittsanger som jeg fikk alle kompisene mine til å få på hjernen selvom de ikke var Leeds fans

Ramazani snart klar til spill igjen.  :)

https://lufcnews.co.uk/it-wont-be-long-before-leeds-united-surpass-sunderland-and-sheffield-united-exciting-developments-ahead/?fbclid=IwY2xjawGlurtleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHaa1I4G0tXTBNZ-GletQG7Sf2OQbYWlrgS3dbyGF66Wvpq5Z_3mwgTuNVg_aem_Hn--x4mspsAqhN3xuTUIrQ

Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani is on the verge of an early return from injury, bringing excitement to Elland Road fans.

The Belgian star has been a standout player since joining, with three goals and an assist in just eight Championship games, proving his value on the left flank.

Ramazani's Dynamic Impact.
Ramazani's versatility as a winger has added depth to Leeds' attack. Whether staying wide or cutting inside, his pace and skill create chances for himself and his teammates.

His partnership with Wilfried Gnonto has been electric, showcasing fluid interplay and sharp attacking moves, most notably during the Norwich City game.

The winger's ability to use both feet effectively makes him unpredictable in front of goal.

Two of his three goals have come from his weaker left foot, highlighting his composure and adaptability.

A Timely Return.
Leeds suffered a setback when Ramazani injured his ankle, but recent updates suggest he might return sooner than expected.

This is great news for Daniel Farke's side, who currently sit third in the Championship table.

With just two points separating them from leaders Sunderland, Ramazani's return could reignite their promotion push.

His absence has been felt in Leeds' attack, where his pace and instinct to run behind defences have been irreplaceable.

Other players, like Dan James and Manor Solomon, bring different qualities but lack Ramazani's direct and dynamic approach.

Looking Ahead.
As the Championship heats up, Ramazani's early return could be a game-changer.

With key matches against Sunderland and Sheffield United coming up, his presence could make all the difference.

Leeds fans are hopeful this talented winger will be the catalyst for their team's charge towards promotion.

Leeds United's season looks set to soar, and with Ramazani back in action, the club's aspirations for a Championship title might just become reality.
