Prestasjonen mildt sagt varierende. Tanaka og Okafor gode. Ampadu sto litt frem i ekstraomgangene. Bogle og Justin desidert svakest. Perri ble matchvinner, fint etter mye motgang. Skremt over bunnivået i dette mannskapet.

Hmmm...
Injury picture
Okafor is just cramps. Rodon rolled his ankle, hope it's not too bad - we've got enough time for next game.Anton, should have been awarded with a penalty. Ligament injury. Will have to see. He is a key player for us.

DF: "Okafor seems to be okay. Cramps after being out for a while. Rodon rolled his ankle, hope not too bad. Anton, rolled an ankle, probably ligament injury. We have to assess, hope not too bad." #lufc

Leeds United have conceded 11 goals from the 90th minute onwards this season, more than any other Premier League team in all competitions (excl. extra time).

Storr avkler McCoist:

I'm rewatching the #LUFC game.
Kilman's foul on Stach is ridiculous.

The 'he got his shot away' so the defender is at liberty to hit him (in this case with such reckless force that it causes ligament damage) - is one of the worst myths in football.

VAR deemed it a 'natural coming together'.

Ally McCoist said: "I'm happy that's not been given a foul".
Literally 5 minutes later, Lukas Nmecha dives in to try and tackle Disasi.

Disasi 'got his pass away.'
Nmecha didn't actually touch him unlike the foul on Stach.

Ally McCoist: "He's definitely late, I wasn't sure he caught him.. no he doesn't catch him, but that's not to say he doesn't fall awkwardly or land awkwardly."

VAR called it a reckless challenge.

Result Nmecha got a yellow card - Disasi totally fine obviously because he wasn't actually touched, and didn't fall awkwardly.

So - if it's in the outfield and a pass and you get your pass away - then get tackled - even if it's not actually bad - it's a yellow card.

But if it's in the penalty box - and you get your shot away - then it's a 'natural coming together' - even if you get injured by your opponent.

That is the very definition of inconsistent.
And it doesn't help when the analyst is parroting a myth that has permeated football.

Stach's ankle was caught in between Kilman's legs - that's how Struijk broke Harvey Elliot's ankle a couple of seasons back.

Kilman slid in with excessive speed and force with a disregard for the safety of Stach - the very description of a reckless challenge - endangering an opponent.

It should not matter whether a shot or pass had been completed.
It should not matter whether it is outside the box or in the box.
It absolutely should matter if there was any actual contact or not.

In one case a guy has ligament damage the extent of which we do not know but it could be season ending - you can't tell without a scan.

In another case the player was not touched at all - but gets an Oscar nomination for exceptional acting in a supporting role.

This is why 75% of fans hate VAR. It's not because referees don't need more help - they do.

It's because consistent rationale and logic isn't being applied, while myths are being perpetuated- and it doesn't help when respected media figures with massive platforms are helping to spread the myth (VAR have the broadcast feed as well as their own footage).

Mark Clattenberg også... :o

He told Leeds United News: "There is no doubt in my mind that Leeds United should have been awarded a penalty kick in their exciting FA Cup match v West Ham.

"The challenge by Max Kilman on Anton Stach was reckless catching his opponent on the foot without touching the ball.

"The only way a penalty kick could not be awarded is if the ball is out of the field of play when the challenge was made. We can see from the replay that the ball was in play.

"I do not accept the VAR's explanation that it was a coming together of two players. This was a clear foul and does not excuse the fact that the Leeds United forward and made a shot to goal before the contact."
