med "War of the roses" - mot vår ærkefiende Manju`!

Mitt lag:

Darlow - Rodon, Bijol, Struijk - Justin, Tanaka, Ampadu, Longstaff, Gudmundsson - Okafor, DCL

Tips: 2-1 (Okafor)

Darlow - Bornauw, Justin, Struijk - Bogle, Tanaka, Ampadu, Gruev, Byram - Aaronson - DCL

Alternativt 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1

Darlow - Bogle, Bornauw, Strujk, Justin - Tanaka, Ampadu, Gruev - Gnonto, Aaronson, DCL

Tynne greier 🙁

Farke on injuries
Not the best news. Stach will definitely miss the game, ankle injury. Joe Rodon will miss it also, ankle injury. Daniel James also, adductor strain in the session before West Ham. A few more question marks, Jaka Bijol struggling with a knock, not in team training this week. Noah Okafor is struggling with back problems and not in team training. Gabi Gudmundsson made some progress, light groin problems after the international break but all three are doubts. Thank God the game is on Monday.
More on Stach
Difficult to say, ligament injury is the same for Rodon. Normally it wouldn't be realistic for them to help us in April and we'd just have them back in May but our medical department is trying everything. It's a crunch period of the season, we want to have them back as soon as possible. If they are able to feature in April, it would be a bonus. Realistically, back in May.

#MUFC v #LUFC Daniel Farke's pre-match press conference

OUT: Anton Stach (ankle - May), Joe Rodon (ankle - May) and Dan James (adductor strain - ?)

DOUBT: Jaka Bijol (knock), Noah Okafor (back) and Gabriel Gudmundsson (groin)

- Farke said that you can't beat the winning feeling from the Cup. Also the feeling having overcome the setbacks they did in the West Ham and they will: "take lots of confidence into the Premier League but it is a different competition."

- "It can be an advantage or disadvantage (to play Man Utd after they haven't played for 22 days)..  but both managers and teams will adapt to the situation and I expect a difficult game.

- "Michael (Carrick) has played on the top level and played with world class players and was able to win trophies. I always liked his work at Middlesborough, his teams play with a lot of confidence and freedom in the offence. I like his style a lot and it suits a team with many top players. And its no coincidence that he has won lots of games including lots of home games."

- On Leeds not winning at Old Trafford since 1981 - "we can only speak about it when we've done it but of course we have had a similar experience in the FA Cup and of course we know about the rivalry. Of course its a very difficult task to go to Old Trafford but we know when we are at our top level then we have a chance."

- On what is needed on Monday night from his players: "You have to be brave - you can't just park the bus, it's important that you have many spells where you are attacking, where you try to dominate the ball, where you try to create chances. And of course we need a good balance, a good structure against the ball and have to be switched on in our defensive behaviour - they have many threats in the offence. But bravery I would say next to compactness and structure is also important."

- On the War of the Roses rivalry: "We know how big the rivalry is and how important it is for the supporters but we wouldn't need extra motivation because we need the points anyway. But it's important to take this into the fixture. When you talk to the supporters they will tell you how much it means to them. We have to play with fire in the heart but be cool in the head."

- On Ao Tanaka and speculation he is open to leaving: "I have seen really good performances from Ao, I see that he loves to play for Leeds and is happy to be here and I'm happy with his development. This is his first season in the top flight in his career. He has needed some time to develop and he has been pretty self-critical at times. There have been errors leading to goals and he has commented publicly that he's not good enough for this level. But I was like 'come on you don't have to dwell on this'. But he has stepped up in training and I also got the feeling the last cup game against Norwich and away against West Ham he had a really, really good performance. So now the next task for him is to perform at this level consistently and against the bigger names in this league. I like a lot that he is having such a good period, he is a top player and we have a lot of competition in this position so you always have to train on a top level and deliver when  you have the chance and he has done this and there will be more chances for him in the coming weeks. And if he produces performances like against West Ham then we're all happy."

- On Buonanotte: "What he has done in the last 2/3 weeks we are happy with the consistency in training and he was close to making the match day squad recently. But he has to be consistent in the training sessions to be back in the spotlight. He has edged closer but I have to say the Gnonto is training well at the moment. Okafor was there, Aaronson won the penalty, Stach was playing higher. So it's not easy to get into this squad but the solution is keep performing in training. It's the same with Ao - keep performing well in training and you will get your chance."

- On coping without Stach: "Of course we will miss him. He can play in midfield or in the advanced role. His physicality and ability to win balls. His strength in set pieces and in the air. But we can't dwell on it. And for a different player there is a chance to shine."

- On the rollercoaster of West Ham game: "These types of wins are sometimes more important than a 3-0 win - which I would have preferred it actually due to my age. But sometimes such a win - when there is adversity against you - that you win after 120 minutes we were even behind in the penalty shootout. But for the spirit and belief and the togetherness of the squad, that could be a very, very crucial moment. And that we were able to do it without Anton and without Joe was also quite crucial."

- On Longstaff: "Sean is a top player and one of more experienced players. He became extremely important to us but the injury broke his rhythm. There is also lots of competition in his position - we like to play Anton Stach there or Ao Tanaka, or even Illia Gruev who has also made some top performances like in the Nottingham game where his assist was crucial. It's never a decision against Sean, it was more a decision FOR Anton or Ao. He needs to impress in training and impress more than a player in his position. He is greedy to play and it's never easy for me to not pick him and when he's on the bench he's not happy and the same for Ao, and the same for Illia and the same for Anton. So we have lots of competition especially in the middle of the park. And we need that because of injuries and dips in form. But if he works hard on the training pitch this is always the answer."

- On Bornauw: "Sebastian is a top class character. He can play all CB positions or as a full back or wing back. He has a pretty good point average when he's on the pitch. A key player is not just an ever-present, you also need these type of players that when you need them they are able to step-up. We have 23 players, not all of them can play each and every game. But he's still an important player for us and his attitude that: 'the team is more important than the individual' is also quite important and I am very happy that I have Sebastian."

Darlow - Justin, Bijol, Struijk - Bogle, Ampadu, Gruev, Gudmundsson - Aaronson, DCL, Okafor
