Huckerby keen to keep momentum

Norwich striker Darren Huckerby hopes his side's recent good form continues after the international break.
The 30-year-old's 12th goal of the season earned the Canaries a 1-0 win over Stoke last weekend - their second straight 1-0 win.
Due to the international break Peter Grant's side have to wait until next weekend for their next game against Colchester and Huckerby believes the players will benefit from the extra rest.
He told the club's official website: "Things are going well at the moment and hopefully it will continue after the international break.

Star eyes big finish for Boro
Jonathan Woodgate was staying tight-lipped over whether he would stay put at Boro, but he is looking for a winning end to the season.
The 27-year-old central defender, who is loan at Middlesbrough from Real Madrid this season, is currently battling to overcome the knee injury which ruled him out of England's Euro 2008 qualifier in Israel on Saturday to be available for the Andorra game next Wednesday. However, in the meantime, Woodgate is still focusing on Boro's remaining eight Premiership games and, despite their FA Cup exit at Manchester United and mid-table position, he insists there is still a lot to play for.
He told the Gazette: "The season is not over for us, not in my eyes anyway.

Charlton chasing Watford striker King
Charlton Athletic boss Alan Pardew is chasing Watford striker Marlon King.
The Hornets striker, 26, had knee surgery at the start of the season and Aidy Boothroyd's side have struggled for goals ever since.
Charlton chief Pardew believes King - who hopes to be fit for Watford's FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United next month - could do a job for the Addicks next season. A bid of around £1million might be enough.

Kilgallon, Leigertwood back for Sheffield Utd
Matthew Kilgallon and Mikele Leigertwood are close to a return at Sheffield United thanks to the club's training camp in Portugal.
The injured duo have been the two main beneficiaries of the four day trip to a resort on the Atlantic coast, with Neil Warnock revealing that both men could now be in contention for places when his players return to Premiership action at Bolton Wanderers next weekend.
Warnock said: "Matthew and Mikele have trained exceptionally well since we've been here and that's great to see. Matthew has worked hard and he's told us that he doesn't feel any reaction in his ankle.
"We've got a reserve team match next week and there's a chance, when we reassess the situation, that he could be involved. If he comes through that then who knows?
"Mikele is also doing well and I'm looking at trying to arrange some sort of match for him to play in earlier on.
"But one thing I can say for certain is that they wouldn't have been able to do as much if they'd stayed at home in Sheffield."

Kewell nears Reds return
Rafa Benitez feels Liverpool attacker Harry Kewell is no more than three weeks away from playing football again.
The Australian has not played since last summer's World Cup after suffering from groin and foot injuries.
He had previously hoped to return for The Reds' recent UEFA Champions League last 16 encounter with Barcelona.
That comeback was shelved, but the 28-year-old is now finally nearing a return to Benitez's plans at Anfield.
The Liverpool boss outlined Kewell's latest progress and believes he could figure in the squad again next month.
"Harry is getting closer all the time," Benitez told the club's official website.
"He's had a long injury, so we have to manage the situation properly, but he is almost ready.
"At the moment he can take part in parts of the training sessions, such as the warm-ups or when we work on passages of play, and he's probably ten days or so away from being able to take a full part.
"I would think he will be ready to play football for us within the next two to three weeks.
"If he is fit then of course we can use him. It will be good for us and for him."

Carson targets survival charge
Charlton goalkeeper Scott Carson is hoping his safe hands can help inspire the Addicks to avoid relegation to the Championship this season.
Carson, on loan from Liverpool, is in a relegation battle for the third time in four seasons, going down with Leeds in 2004 but avoiding the drop from the Championship while on loan at Sheffield Wednesday in 2005/06.
He said: "Everyone's got belief that we can get ourselves out of this. I just hope we can get out of the bottom three as soon as possible.

Jones keen to improve Feeney

Cardiff boss Dave Jones is convinced he can improve the goal ratio of new signing Warren Feeney.
e Northern Ireland striker has joined initially on loan from Luton and will sign a three-year contract when his deal with the Hatters expires in the summer.
After scoring regularly at Bournemouth and Stockport, Feeney has found the Championship harder to crack and has netted only four times for Luton this season.
"Warren is a one goal in three matches merchant," said Jones. "He hasn't got a bad career scoring record and hopefully, by working with better players, he'll become a better player and score more goals."

PENNANT LEFT FRUSTRATED
Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant finds an ongoing lack of recognition by England boss Steve McClaren "frustrating".
The former Birmingham and Arsenal player has endured a mixed start to life at Anfield since being signed from the midlands club last summer.
He joined Birmingham from the Gunners for a cut-price £3million in 2005 after his Arsenal career was wrecked by off-field problems, but Reds boss Rafael Benitez was impressed enough by his performances to take him to Merseyside.
However, he believes he has done enough to merit a place alongside Steven Gerrard, Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Phillips in the England squad, who face Israel and Andorra in Euro 2008 qualifiers this week.

Kewell close to return

Harry Kewell is no more than "ten days or so" away from a Liverpool return, according to manager Rafael Benitez.
The Australian has been dogged by groin and foot injuries and has not played since last summer's World Cup.
He had hoped to return for the club's recent Champions League last 16 encounters with Barcelona but that comeback was put on hold.
Now, the 28-year-old is finally on the mend and is close to make a full return to competitive football.
"Harry is getting closer all the time," Benitez told the club's official website.
"He's had a long injury, so we have to manage the situation properly, but he is almost ready.

Carlisle extend deal for Middlesbrough's Graham

Carlisle have extended the loan spell of Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham ahead of the arrival of Gillingham to Brunton Park on Saturday.
Gateshead-born Graham had been due to return to the Teessiders next week, but Boro boss Gareth Southgate has accepted Carlisle's request to extend his loan deal for a further month.
The 21-year-old, who will remain at Brunton Park until April 22, has scored one goal in five appearances for the Cumbrians and will start against Gillingham on Saturday afternoon.

KEWELL FACING EXIT DOOR

HARRY KEWELL'S Liverpool dream looks over - with boss Rafa Benitez ready to let the injury-prone Aussie leave Anfield this summer.
The former Leeds midfielder, signed by Gerard Houllier before Benitez took over three seasons ago, has been battling groin, Achilles and hip injuries for a year and has spent months rehabilitating in Australia.
Kewell has been training at Liverpool for a few weeks - but Benitez is still not sure when the 28-year-old will be fit again. Having signed Chilean winger Mark Gonzalez and Ukrainian striker Andriy Voronin for next season, Benitez has now written the Aussie out of his plans and will listen to offers in the summer.
Spurs, Bolton and Manchester City are all considering pay-as-you-play bids.

GRAHAM KEEN ON CARLISLE

Carlisle loan star Danny Graham has refused to rule out a permanent move to Brunton Park.
The Middlesbrough striker, who has extended his stay at the League One club for another month, scored twice during Saturday's 5-0 demolition of Gillingham.
Graham, 21, said his goals were the perfect riposte to fans who were disappointed by Neil McDonald's failure to sign another forward before last Thursday's loan deadline.
And with his Boro contract due to expire in the summer, Graham said: "Everything is still up in the air but at the minute I just want to concentrate on football, play as many games as I can, score as many goals as I can for Carlisle and see how far we go.
"We'll see what happens at the end of the season," he told the Carlisle News & Star.

Boss Steve in Venables rift

ENGLAND assistant boss Terry Venables is no longer working closely with Steve McClaren.
In a damaging backroom split, Venables feels the manager is not listening to him.
The pair were never buddies in the first place. Venables was brought in partly because McClaren wanted to lean on his experience.
McClaren also knew he was nobody’s choice as boss and felt Venables’ presence would buy him support.
On Saturday the pair sat in the directors’ box for the first 25 minutes before McClaren went down to the dugout.
Venables stayed in the stands until 10 minutes from time when he could take it no longer. He tried to stamp his influence on the final stages but to no avail.
He has supported McClaren in public but, privately, he now wonders whether he has made a mistake.

Lennon can get it right
CHRIS KAMARA gives his view

AARON LENNON must have spent the past two days racked with feelings of what might have been.
Yes, after yet another hugely disappointing England display, the Spurs winger probably was â€" as many are suggesting â€" the one bright spark to take from it.
But before we get carried away with a decent first start but no more, just take a look at what we could have won.
True, Lennon did cause problems with his electric bursts down the left. Yet I am still scratching my head over how much better it could have been.
No blame attached to the 19-year-old, I hasten to add. He was clearly told to run at Israel every chance he got.
But why oh why did no one suggest changing flanks with Steven Gerrard every now and again? Imagine the chaos that could have caused the Israelis.
Lennon may have been on the left for Spurs recently, but playing out of position for your club and your country are vastly different. Just ask Andy Johnson!
We saw, with his very first cross which ended up in the stands, England only get half the player when the lad is on the left.
Had common sense been used and Lennon given the odd spell down the right, there’s every chance Steve McClaren would have been celebrating a win.
Had Lennon been getting to the byline down that wing, Israel would have found it so much tougher to defend his crosses.
Rather than drifting towards the keeper, they would have been bending out for Rooney and AJ to come powering on to.
It was ridiculous to expect Lennon to collect the ball so deep and beat four or five before delivering. George Best in his pomp would have struggled with that!
Gerrard has played on the left at Liverpool so could do a similar job for England.
Unfortunately, now all we’re left with is another post mortem of could-have-beens and if-onlys.
Worryingly, that seems to be the norm as far as this England team is concerned.

Sheridan backs Leeds for survival

Former Leeds midfielder John Sheridan is convinced Dennis Wise's side can escape relegation.
But Oldham boss Sheridan, who has steered the Latics to the brink of the League One play-offs in his first season in management, warns Leeds' fate could be decided on the final day.
"I've got a lot of time for the club - I still live in the area - and I hope they get out of it this season," Sheridan told Yorkshire Radio.
"Obviously it's disappointing for me to see them where they are. They need a few wins on the spin, it's very tight, it'll go right to the wire.
"I hope Dennis sorts it out, he's got a great passion and he's the man to do it. It's important the fans get right behind him."

Levante plan Harte sale

Levante are reported to be ready to put Ian Harte up for sale this summer.

Harte has been continually linked with a move away from Levante ever since his arrival in Spain in the summer of 2004.
Fresh reports emanating from Spain suggest Levante are now prepared to listen to offers for Harte at the end of the season.
The Republic of Ireland international has struggled to break into the Levante side this season making just four appearances so far this term.
Harte was remaining coy about his future insisting he was only focusing on regaining his place in the team.
"My objective is to play," said Harte.
Sunderland are thought to be monitoring Harte's situation at Levante and they could offer the former Leeds man a route back to England in the summer.
Meanwhile, Levante are reported to be lining up a move for Villarreal's Rodolfo Arrubarrena as a possible replacement for Harte.
The Argentine has confirmed he is set to leave Villarreal in the summer when his contract expires and Levante are thought to be at the head of the queue for his signature.

Arnold to work on Viduka

Australian coach Graham Arnold is doing everything he can to convince Mark Viduka not to retire from international football.

The Middlesbrough striker has recently hinted that he was ready to call a day on his Socceroos career.
However, Arnold is hoping he can offer some help for Viduka to prolong his international days.
"What more is there to say about Dukes? He showed why we need him to stay on. We can't afford to lose him just yet," said Arnold, speaking after Australia's 2-0 win in China at the weekend.
"I know Mark has certain ideas in his head at the moment and I can understand his thinking," Arnold told The Australian.
"But, with some common sense, I'm sure we can work something out.
"Mark is a vital ingredient for the national team, so we need to find ways of making the Socceroos option even more attractive for him.
"He is only 31 and will be 34 by the time the next World Cup comes around. Mark needs to know that we are not going to impose heavy demands on him.
"Call it mollycoddling if you like, but we can look after him with a well thought out schedule in which he won't have to play in too many meaningless games and where we can cut down his travelling."
