Cardiff manager Dave Jones and midfielder Simon Walton have both been charged by the Football Association of Wales after the fiery encounter with Leeds earlier this month.Jones has been given a disrepute charge over alleged comments he made about referee Mark Clattenburg after the Bluebirds' 1-0 win over United, during which Walton and Michael Chopra were both sent off.
If Jones is found guilty, the governing body will almost certainly implement a suspended £1,000 fine on the former Southampton and Wolves boss.
He escaped a touchline ban last summer when he accused match referee Andy Woolmer of "cheating" his players after a 3-3 draw at Luton in February 2006.
Walton, who was controversially sent off for two yellow cards, faces a charge of improper conduct for kicking the fourth official's electronic board as he walked off the pitch.
The referee's assessor's report confirmed that the on-loan Charlton man's dismissal for alleged diving was wrong, but that has not saved him from a charge.
Jones and Walton have 10 days to appeal, but will not know their possible punishment until after that period.
