Leeds target asks to leave Walsall!!!
Story by Zidane
2008-01-07
Walsall have this morning been rocked by the news Leeds United target Daniel Fox has handed in a transfer request.
Fox has been stalling in signing a new deal and is known to have been unsettled by being linked with a 'big' move to fellow League One side Leeds.
Only last week contract negotiations were said to be going well and this latest development will come as a blow to manager Richard Money who has rejected an offer of around £250,000. With the player out of contract in the summer this must surely leasve the club with no option but to sell.
The question raised is anyone else interested apart from Leeds? Do Leeds even have the money to cough up? Surely no credit will be given to aside who paid just 8p in the £1 less than 12 months ago?
The Express and Star were the first to lead with the story and the club are sure to release a statement soon .... or maybe not!

Daniel "Danny" Fox (born May 29, 1986 in Winsford, England) is an English footballer, currently playing for Walsall.
Fox learnt his trade at the Everton F.C. youth academy but the closest he came to a first-team appearance was being named on the bench for Everton's home match against Aston Villa in October 2004. He was loaned out to Stranraer F.C. before his eventual release from Everton in the summer of 2005. Walsall moved quickly to snap up Fox.
Fox has been linked with a move to Leeds United in the January 2008 transfer window. Leeds reportedly had bid of up to £300,00 (inc. Clauses) turned down by Walsall[2] but manager Dennis Wise is keen to land him, as they do not currently have a capable left-back.
