Kamp 15/3:

WILKINS HAILS IN-FORM SEAGULLS
Brighton boss Dean Wilkins believes the Seagulls are hitting form at the ideal time after taking 21 from a possible 27 points following their 1-0 victory over Doncaster.
Nicky Forster fired home the rebound of his saved penalty to take his tally for the season to 16 goals and leave his side just a point outside the play-off places.
Wilkins said: "The crowd noise at the end of the game was very heartening and the fans really showed their appreciation for the players' efforts.
"Provided we keep a clean sheet we have no reason to fear anybody. I thought we were magnificent.
"Credit to the players for adapting and doing such a great job. It was a real game of football and we finished it relatively comfortably.
"We've had some good performances lately, but it is providing that little bit of detail to our play which is making the difference."
Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll bemoaned the "harsh penalty" which led to his side's defeat.
Midfielder Brian Stock was penalised for tripping Forster after 57 minutes as Rovers slipped to only their second defeat in their last 15 away games.
"I am both disappointed with the penalty and the players' reaction afterwards," said O'Driscoll.
"We lost our heads at times and stopped doing the right things.
"I thought we had gone further than that. The players felt it was a harsh penalty. That affected the way we approached the rest of the game."

SEAGULLS ON THE UP
Brighton captain Nicky Forster scored his fourth goal in five games in a 1-0 victory over high-flying Doncaster.
Rovers' hopes of securing a fifth straight win were scuppered by Forster's 57th-minute penalty after he had been felled by Brian Stock.
Forster's spot-kick was initially blocked by veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan, but the former Hull and Reading striker rammed home the rebound.
Substitute Gary Hart should have made the game safe five minutes from time but wasted the chance with only Sullivan to beat.
The Seagulls had a let off after nine minutes when midfielder Stock rattled the crossbar with a fierce 25-yard drive.
Former Brighton striker Mark McCammon headed over after a surging run by James Coppinger before Sullivan came to Rovers' rescue by blocking a low volley from Ian Westlake

Startet i alle fire kampene for Brighton.

Injury blow for Brighton: El-Abd out for four weeks with knee injury
Adam El-Abd will miss the next month of Brighton & Hove Albion's push for a play-off spot.
The 23-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, suffered a knee injury during Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town.
El-Abd damaged medial ligaments at the Galpharm Stadium and is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks.
Brighton boss Dean Wilkins will now try to bring in short-term cover on loan after ruing the injury to El-Abd.
"To lose Adam at this stage of the season is a major blow, particularly as he has been in exceptional form," Wilkins told the club's official website.
"We will now do everything we can to bring someone in."

Brighton rocks for Leeds United loan man

IAN Westlake admits he is full of smiles again after swapping his exile at Leeds for a restorative loan spell at League One rivals Brighton.
The Clacton-born midfielder, who arrived from Ipswich in August 2006, headed to the south coast on a month's loan at the start of this month and will stay with Albion until April 5.
The 24-year-old â€" who has not been granted permission to feature when Albion visit Elland Road on March 29 â€" had failed to secure a place in Gary McAllister's plans at Leeds, featuring just twice this year.
And despite being unsure of his future â€" both with Albion and Leeds â€" the midfielder is just enjoying the here and now, namely being back in the sun with Dean Wilkins' play-off chasers after a tough second-half of the season in Yorkshire.
Westlake, who impressed in Brighton's excellent 1-0 win over high-flying Doncaster last weekend, said: "I love playing and it's nice to be here. I haven't been smiling so much for a long time.
"It was so nice at the weekend. We played well, the crowd were brilliant and it was nice to feel part of a team that just enjoy every day."
On his future, Westlake, who has started the last five matches for the Seagulls after only making the starting line-up 10 times in the league for Leeds this term, said: "I have no idea what is happening.
"If we (Brighton) are winning games and I am playing like I am I would be more than happy to stay, but football is football and you never know. I'm here and it's nice to be playing and be part of a good team but, as far as the future goes, I don't know."
Meanwhile, Whites boss Gary McAllister admits his phone line has been white-hot as he bids to bolster his mide ahead of the closure of the emergency loan window next week.
He said: "We are still very busy. We are making enquiries here, there and everywhere.
"But the thing I've got to be wary of is that the people I bring in here have got to improve us."

Vitkig å få noen seire på rad...ON ON ON

Kamp 22/3:

FORSTER GUNS DOWN SWINDON

Skipper Nicky Forster made it seven goals in seven games to give play-off-chasing Brighton their fifth win in the last six home games by beating Swindon 2-1.
Midfielder Craig Easton drove Swindon into a seventh-minute lead but Forster guided in a lovely header from a Dean Cox free-kick to level five minutes later.
The in-form Forster settled the issue with his 19th goal of the season after 67 minutes by converting a 25-yard free-kick which went in off the post.
Brighton had a lucky let-off late on when a cross by Anthony McNamee was nearly put into his own goal by defender Tommy Elphick.
Swindon had a goal-bound header from Blair Sturrock cleared off the line by Steve Thomson in the first half and the latter also saw his low shot come back off a post.
Forster then had a header saved by goalkeeper Peter Brezovan after strike-partner Glenn Murray unselfishly set him up.

Forhåndsomtale, kamp 24/3:

FOREST FORCED INTO CHANGE

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood will be forced to change a winning line-up for the clash with Brighton as James Perch starts a suspension.
Perch, who may have missed the game with an ankle ligament injury, was shown a straight red card after just 21 minutes of the 2-1 win at Northampton for a late challenge on Poul Hubertz.
Nathan Tyson should be fit to start in attack after a tireless display at Sixfields saw him come off after 81 minutes.
Midfield playmaker Kris Commons is pushing for a starting place after coming on as a substitute against Town following his recovery from a groin injury.
Loan signing Therry Racon is expected to continue in the Brighton midfield.
Boss Dean Wilkins swooped for the Charlton midfielder after Adam El-Abd was ruled out for a month with the knee injury he picked up at Huddersfield.
Wilkins, meanwhile, is without both his first-choice full-backs. On-loan Matt Richards has returned to Ipswich for treatment on his hamstring injury and Andrew Whing serves the final came of a two-match ban for accumulating 10 yellow cards.
Kerry Mayo will again deputise for Richards on the left while Gary Hart is expected to continue in place of Whing with Wilkins set to name an unchanged line-up from the one which overcame the Robins 2-1.
Nicky Forster will hope to continue his fine form having scored seven goals in his last seven appearances.

Enig. Den gamle floskelen "never change a winning team" kan godt brukes for startoppstillingen mot Brighton. Samme benk også, for den saks skyld. Hughes må jo stå over mot Brighton også.

Jo da, enig i det. Selv om bredden mangler på midten...

Viktige at backene tør mer fremover da!

Kamp 24/3:

KUIPERS KEEPS OUT FOREST

Nottingham Forest's lingering hopes of claiming an automatic promotion spot all but disappeared then they were held to a 0-0 draw by Brighton at The City Ground.
And the point that Brighton worked so hard to achieve could yet see them join Forest in the League One play-offs.
Forest enjoyed the bulk of the pressure but found it hard to find a way through and when they did, goalkeeper Michel Kuipers produced some inspired saves.
His best came in the 10th minute when Kris Commons weaved his way past three Brighton challenges and looked a certain scorer until Kuipers turned his effort aside.
Nathan Tyson went close with a header and young Matt Thornhill should have made more of another gilt-edged chance from only three yards early in the second half. And although they were content to absorb Forest pressure for the most part, Brighton were not without openings themselves.
Leading scorer Nicky Forster missed an open goal in the fourth minute after Forest goalkeeper Paul Smith had parried Dean Cox's effort and just before the break defender Tommy Elphick saw a header turned onto the crossbar.

TEAM: 16. Michel Kuipers, 12. Gary Hart, 24. Tommy Elphick, 5. Joel Lynch, 3. Kerry Mayo, 27. David Martot, 10. Steven Thomson (69), 11. Therry Racon, 7. Dean Cox  (90), 17. Glenn Murray, 9. Nicky Forster (74).

Til nesten noe Foxesk over ham.

Kenton lettlurt i Walsallkampen?

Marching on together!

Kuipers: The pressure is all on Leeds

ALBION have held one of the League One giants on their own patch and now the message is bring on Leeds.
The play-off chasing Seagulls head for Elland Road on Saturday, lifted by Monday's spirited goalless stalemate at Nottingham Forest.
Events at both the City Ground and elsewhere have shifted the emphasis and heaped more pressure on Leeds.
Albion's hard-earned point edged them two clear of the Yorkshiremen, although they have a game in hand and a far superior goal difference.
Leeds' form has, to say the least, been indifferent since Christmas. Last Saturday's 2-0 home win against Walsall was only their fifth in 17 matches.
That launched a crunch period for Gary McAllister's side, with games against Doncaster, Carlisle and Leyton Orient to follow Albion's visit.
Leeds had their lowest League One crowd of the season against Walsall. There were excuses - kicking off at tea time for live coverage on Sky in Siberian weather - but an attendance below 20,000 must have sent shivers down the spine of Ken Bates and co.
Albion can use the anxiety of the home supporters to their advantage, just as they did at the City Ground.
Michel Kuipers, the star of Albion's backs-to-the-wall effort at Forest, said: "They are playing at home, so they will have the pressure of the crowd on them. If we keep them at bay for 25 or 30 minutes they will get on their backs.
"It's a tough task for us but one we are looking forward to. All the players have gained loads of confidence from what happened at Forest.
"Everybody said beforehand this week was going to make or break us and at the moment it is the making of us.
"We have to make sure on Saturday that we put in a good performance again. If we performed the way we did on Monday then we are going to get a result.
"Forest are one of the best teams in the League and we got a fantastic clean sheet there. If we can repeat that we are definitely going to get something."
While Albion were doing their stuff in the East Midlands, others were helping their cause, especially doomed Bournemouth.
Their 2-1 home win over Tranmere enabled the Seagulls to edge back into a play-off slot for the first time since November, because they have scored three more goals than the Merseysiders.
Walsall needed a last-gasp equaliser to draw at home with Crewe and Orient and Northampton were both beaten, so some of the teams below Albion are falling away.
It now looks as if the Seagulls are fighting with Leeds, Southend, Tranmere and Walsall for fifth and sixth places. The trip to Southend next month will be significant, as will Leeds' legal battle to reclaim some of the 15 points deducted for going into administration.
The sooner that issue is resolved the fairer it will be for all the clubs involved in an intriguing play-off race.

Douglas eller Howson mot Brighton?

Håpar Douglas gjere ein fin figur i kampen reservelagskampen i morgo.

J.D treng òg all kamptrening for å komma tilbake i storform.

3 poeng er eit must!

Håper på følgande lag:
Casper
Kenton, Rui, Mikkelikk, Sheehan
Kilkenny, Douglas, Prutton, Johnson
Freedman, Beckford
@m_sortland på twitter
