BOSS EXPECTS BETTER FROM THE BACK
Micky Adams warned Brighton to improve at the back after they needed a penalty shoot-out to beat Leyton Orient in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The Seagulls led 2-0 after 14 minutes thanks to Adam Virgo's penalty and Joe Anyinsah's strike, but Ryan Jarvis and Adam Boyd's spot-kick took the tie to penalties.
And after his side's 5-4 shoot-out victory, Adams admitted they will not be looking forward to their clash at Leeds on Saturday "if we defend like that".
Brighton have also thrown away leads in their previous two league games, but Adams declared: "Given time I'm confident we'll get it right.
"We should have put ourselves 3-1 ahead but nerves crept in and we were deeper and deeper as the game progressed. When Orient got their equaliser it wasn't a great shock.
"We have to work hard at keeping in front, and I'm sorry we're not hanging on to leads."
