REGINIUSSSEN COULD BE ROVERS-BOUND
Tromso defender Tore Reginiussen will undergo a medical at Blackburn next week with a view to a January transfer, according to the Norwegian club.
The 22-year-old, who can also play in midfield, is set to arrive in Lancashire on Sunday and spend a few days with the club after impressing Rovers' scouts with recent displays.

Blackburn warned by Norwegian trialist Reginiussen
Blackburn have been warned by Norwegian defender Tore Reginiussen to make a decision on signing him soon or he will move elsewhere.
"The stay here has been really good, and I think I've showed them in a good fashion what I am capable of," the 22 year old told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"I've told them that I need some time off after a really long season, and therefore I'll take a vacation now. This means that Blackburn need to take a decision now.
"It's not an option for me to stay here for two more weeks so they can be convinced that I'm good enough.
"They must rather say now if they are interested or not."

"He was one of the keys to our survival last season.
"He has turned out to be a leader in our defence and I believe he is one of the best defenders in the Premier League."

HANSTVEIT STARTS HOOPS TRIAL
Erlend Hanstveit began his week-long trial at Celtic on Wednesday but refused to speculate on whether it would lead to a permanent move.
The Brann Bergen defender, 27, has been touted as a solution to the Scottish champions' left-back problem and would be available on a free transfer.
The Norwegian club's captain has been offered a new deal to extend his 10-year stay there but he delayed a decision on his future until after a new head coach was appointed.
Hanstveit said in the Evening Times: "I was invited over here to train with Celtic for a week, so we will see how it goes before it eventually becomes something concrete."
With the departure of Bergen coach Mons Ivar Mjelde and the appointment of former Tromso boss Steinar Nilsen, Hanstveit is ready to act.
"Now the pieces fall into place and it will make it easier to decide," he said.
"The new coach will be in place at Bergen in January, and it is likely I will make my decision about my future before the new year.
"Whatever happens, my relationship with Bergen will remain fine."

”I’ve got a contract for two years and I can see myself staying,” Hangeland told The Express. "It’s a great club.”
Fulham have made a decent start to the campaign, but Hangeland is keeping his 6ft 5in frame firmly planted on the ground.
He added: “I will be happy if and when we avoid relegation.”

HODGSON RUBBISHES HANGELAND TALK
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has denied there has been interest in defender Brede Hangeland from Arsenal.
Hangeland, who signed from FC Copenhagen in January, has been in imperious form for the Cottagers this season, marshalling a lean defence that has frustrated Aston Villa and Liverpool in the last two Premier League games.
Speculation this week suggested the Gunners are keen on the 27-year-old Norway captain, but Hodgson insists there is no truth in the rumours.
However, he admitted, if an offer was made, it would have to be considered, adding it might be naive to think Hangeland would reject a lucrative move to stay at the club.
"We have had absolutely no indication that Arsenal or any other club of that stature have had any interest in Brede Hangeland," said Hodgson.
"I sometimes wonder if these stories are educated guesses from people looking and seeing that William Gallas has had a fall-out with the other players, thinking Arsenal will want to get another centre-half, looking at what centre-halves are available and linking them with Arsenal Football Club.
"If a serious offer comes our way for Brede, I'm pretty sure it'll have to be considered but I would hope - and this might be a naive hope - that we could still keep him because he's got a long-term contract with us here.
"I know he's happy with us here and I know he's happy with his football. And it'd be nice to think that we could keep him with us.
"But, in the meantime, it's not something that affects our thinking in any way and hopefully it hasn't affected his either because I don't know what he reads into that type of speculation."
Unbeaten in four, Fulham face another stern test of their mettle at home to Manchester City in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday. (.....)

Strachan wants more time to judge defender Hanstveit
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan wants a longer look at on-trial left-back Erlend Hanstveit before deciding whether or not to sign him.
Brann Bergen defender Hanstveit, 27, is in the middle of a week-long stay with the Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions and would be available for free when the January transfer window opens.
Strachan will integrate the Norwegian into his travelling party for tomorrow's trip to Hibernian after being impressed with his attitude both on and off the field.
'We've had two days with Erlend,' Strachan said. 'It's been a month since he played, which is a long time, so we'd like to keep him here a bit longer and have a look.
'He'll come with us to the match at Easter Road and see what it feels like to go to a game with the group. He's mingled well with the lads and there are things we like there. But we have to investigate it a bit more.
'Would we like to extend it beyond the week? If we could, but the problem we have is that there are games to play. We were able to do more intensive things in training this week because we didn't have a game.
'But we have Villarreal in midweek, so we won't have the scope to test Erlend as much as we'd like.'
Hanstveit was also keeping tight-lipped about a potential move, saying in the Daily Record: 'I've been impressed with the club's training facilities and, of course, the stadium, where I was taken for a tour.
'The people at Celtic have been brilliant with me since I arrived.
'I don't want to say much more about the move at this stage. We will just have to wait and see.
'Training has been okay so far and I hope I'll do well during the last bit of my stay.'

Pedersen insists Blackburn will be okay
After defeat to Liverpool, Morten Gamst Pedersen is confident Blackburn can turn the corner, starting against Wigan on Saturday.
He twice came close to making the breakthrough in the first half, but goalkeeper Jose Reina was equal to both his efforts.
Pedersen said: "We did really well and had the biggest chances before they scored.
"In football sometimes things do not roll your way and the small decisions don't go your way - but we are getting closer and closer.

Pedersen insists Blackburn players behind Ince
Morten Gamst Pedersen insists Blackburn Rovers players believe in underfire manager Paul Ince.
After defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, Pedersen said: "We can't think about everything that's written, we have to think about what we're doing on the pitch.
"Everybody is different. I've had lots of managers - I had four at Tromso and three here, four with [caretaker] Tony Parkes, and every one is different.
"He's at training every day. You see what he's done in his career, he's been at big clubs and he puts those things into the team. If I'm a manager, maybe I'd like to do something this way and Incey will like to do it another way.
"Against Liverpool we had a game-plan and we followed it all the way. It didn't succeed for us but we were unlucky. If we had won, people would say 'what a turnaround'. We have to work hard and we believe we can do that next week."

HANGELAND HAPPY AT FULHAM
Fulham defender Brede Hangeland may have been linked with moves to Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks but he insists he is keeping his feet on the ground.
The centre-back, signed in January from FC Copenhagen, has marshalled a mean Fulham defence which has conceded just 12 goals in 15 Barclays Premier League games this season.
"One of my main ambitions was to play in the Premier League, and I've achieved that coming to Fulham - and I'm really happy here," Hangeland told his club's website.
"For me, it's all about doing a good job for the team - and if I do that then I'm happy.
"I'm just working hard every week to prove I'm good enough to play here, and it's nice when people think you're doing well."
Hangeland, 27, has never trained as hard as he has with Fulham in the last year.
"We've done more work in nine months here than I've ever done before, so it's good," he added.
"We work really hard - almost every day - on our shape and defending as a team.
"We do a lot of work on defending and attacking, and it's about being in the right position and keeping your shape as best we can.
"I've developed a good understanding with Aaron (Hughes) and I think we've improved every week since I joined."

HANGELAND EYES LONG-TERM STAY
Fulham defender Brede Hangeland has said he would be happy to remain at Craven Cottage for "many years".
Media reports have suggested the Norway international's displays this season could spark bids from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson has been keen to play down the rumours, while Hangeland recently stated his commitment to the London side.
The 27-year-old joined Fulham from FC Copenhagen earlier this year and sees the club as the ideal place to ensure his career blossoms.
"It has gone well for me, personally." Hangeland said.
"I am pleased with how I have progressed since I came here. It feels like I am on top of my career right now.
"I see myself at Fulham for many years. The club is the right size and has a perfect location.
"That allows us to live in a family-friendly and quiet area which is close to both the stadium and training.
"That means a tremendous amount to me."

KINNEAR ADMITS RIISE KNOCK-BACK
Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear has confirmed the club failed in a move to bring John Arne Riise back to the Premier League.
The Magpies were linked with the former Liverpool defender last month with Kinnear keen to land the Norwegian on loan.
However, following Riise's return to Roma's first-team, his agent has informed the Newcastle boss his client will be staying with the Serie A outfit until the end of the season.
Kinnear was eager to bring in the 28-year-old to St James' Park and off-load Jose Enrique, although the Spaniard arguably made one of his best outings for the club in Sunday's 3-0 success at Pompey.
Despite Newcastle's improved form of late the former Nottingham Forest manager admits that he is still keen to bring in new talent if he can trim some of his squad in the process.
"If we can get like-for-like then I'll lose one," admitted Kinnear in the Daily Mirror. "We've gone down that road already but I got a knock-back.
"John Arne Riise changed his mind, but if we'd got him in then I could have done something with Enrique.
"Riise's got back in the team at Roma and his agent has told us that he's happy to stay until the end of the season. I want them now, really."

Hangeland is going nowhere
FULHAM have told the Premier League big guns to keep their hands off Brede Hangeland.
The Norway skipper has been superb this season to help lift the Cottagers into the top half of the table.
There are fears that the likes of Arsenal will move for the giant defender in next month's transfer window.
But Fulham boss Roy Hodgson insists he is going nowhere.
He said: “We’ve got a good club here and the makings of a good team and it’s not in our interest to let players go so we’ll be trying desperately to hang on to the good players we’ve got.
“Brede is fully aware of what I, the coaching staff, and his team-mates think of him.
”He knows he’s a very respected and well-liked player in our club and team. We’d do everything in our power to keep him.“

HANGELAND HAPPY AT FULHAM
Brede Hangeland insists he is ready to stay at Fulham for the foreseeable future after being linked with a big-money switch.
The Norwegian central defender has already been linked with a move in the January transfer window after an impressive season with the revitalised Cottagers.
But Hangeland has no thoughts about moving on as Fulham rose to eighth in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
"I can see myself staying here a long time," said Hangeland. "The first 12 months have been excellent and I wouldn't mind staying for some time to come.
"It feels as if we are building something. We definitely want to push on, improve and certainly avoid what happened last year because that was a nerve-racking experience. It's about continuing to climb the table but, on the other hand, we must stay realistic.
"We are a small club in among a lot of good teams, so the sooner we can secure the points we need to avoid relegation, the better."

The 19 year-old Norwegian is moving to Valencia for a nominal fee, which was confirmed by Dad, Dag Erland Olsen, yesterday.
