Windass set to be a loan arranger

Veteran Hull striker Dean Windass has conceded his days with the Premier League club are numbered after being told he can leave on loan.

Windass: Offer on the table from Hartlepool

The 39-year-old, who netted the winner in the Championship play-off final against Bristol City at Wembley last May, has started just one top-flight game this season and has made just six league and cup appearances.
Windass has been left out of the Hull squad for the last two games after being substituted at half-time during Hull's 5-1 thrashing at Manchester City on Boxing Day.
He had hoped to feature in last Saturday's FA Cup third-round clash against Newcastle. Manager Phil Brown made seven changes but Windass did not make the bench.
Grimsby, Hartlepool and Leeds have been linked with his signature and Windass wrote in his itv blog: "It's not true I've been released but assistant manager Brian Horton called me and told me the club were accepting offers to take me on loan. That tells you all you need to know about my future here.
"So far one club, Hartlepool, has come in for me and I'm waiting to see how things develop. I'm going to talk over the move with my family over the next couple of days and take it from there."

Windass says Hull future in doubt

Lions set for talks with Kandol
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is keen to resolve the future of striker Tresor Kandol, who is on loan from Leeds, in the near future.
The 27-year-old Democratic Republic of Congo international moved to The Den on six-month deal in August but is set to return to Elland Road at the end of the month.
Kandol has made 20 appearances and scored eight goals since he moved to the Lions and Jackett is believed to be keen do a deal with new Leeds boss Simon Grayson during the transfer window.
"I will be speaking to the new Leeds manager as Tresor's parent club to see what his thoughts are," Jackett told the Southwark News.
"I don't know where Leeds see the situation. I know Tresor is happy at Millwall and has enjoyed his time here and we will see how the situation progresses."

NEW Leeds boss Simon Grayson is plotting a £300,000 move for Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan.
The Republic of Ireland international, 26, had a successful two-year stint under Grayson at Blackpool.
But Hoolahan has made just 15 starts for the struggling Canaries this season.
And they are unlikely to stand in his way if Leeds come knocking as they want to raise cash for players.  (The Sun)

I scored 24 goals helping my side win promotion back to the Premier League aged just 22. Then in my first season in the top flight I had bagged an impressive 15 goals by the end of January. My form earned me an England call-up. Am I a £35m striker? No. I am Michael Ricketts, February 2002.

Lions set for talks with Kandol
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is keen to resolve the future of striker Tresor Kandol, who is on loan from Leeds, in the near future.

Lions eye Tres deal

Leeds United look set to cash in on Tresor Kandol after Millwall confirmed their interest in extending the striker's stay in London.
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is planning talks with his Leeds counterpart Simon Grayson about the future of Kandol, whose half-season loan at the New Den expires later this month.
Jackett hopes to retain Kandol beyond the end of January after seeing the forward's tally of eight goals in 20 appearances help Millwall climb to third place in League One, but he may be forced to buy the Congolese international out of a contract which runs until the summer of 2011.
Kandol was sent to the New Den in August with a view to a permanent move, and though Leeds have experienced a change of manager during the 27-year-old's absence, they would still be receptive to offers for the ex-Barnet and Cambridge United player.
New boss Grayson is yet to comment publicly on Kandol's position or confirm whether the forward has any future at Elland Road, but Leeds cannot recall him from his spell with the Lions until January 28 under the terms of his deal in London, leaving Grayson with as few as four days to properly assess the striker before the transfer window closes.
United are only able to cancel his loan early if they agree to sell Kandol to another club, but Millwall are at the front of the queue and Jackett hopes to discuss the matter with Grayson in the near future.
Jackett said: "I will be speaking to the new Leeds manager at Tresor's parent club to see what his thoughts are.
"I don't know how Leeds see the situation. I know Tresor is happy at Millwall and has enjoyed his time here and we will see how the situation progresses."
Kandol was handed a new long-term contract by ex-Leeds boss Dennis Wise in 2007, and his deal at Elland Road does not expire for another two-and-a-half years.
Grayson's predecessor, Gary McAllister, saw no place for Kandol in his first-team plans this season, and the striker's sale would potentially raise funds for United's manager to work with before the transfer window shuts at the start of next month.
Kandol, who has not played for Leeds since last year's League One play-off final, would be expected to command a six-figure fee.
