Tony Capaldi eyes permanent move from Cardiff to Leeds Leeds United left-back
Tony Capaldi wants to make his loan move from Cardiff City into a permanent deal.
The 28-year-old Northern Ireland international has made three starts since moving to Elland Road last month.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: "If I can sort a more permanent deal in January I can't wait to move up. We will sit down and talk about it.
"That's the idea - a loan with a view to a permanent deal. It's up to me to put some decent performances in."
The Norway-born player had only played 14 times in the past season and a half because of a knee injury, and Capaldi is enjoying playing regular football again.
He said: "Three games in six days, it's good for the fitness and hopefully I'll be putting in better performances in the future.
"I wanted to play and you want to come to a big club - and Leeds offered me both. When I heard they were interested, I jumped at it.
"I couldn't wait to get up here and everything's gone really well."
