Solid kamp både defansivt og offansivt. Naylor og Kisnorbo storspelte og også backane var veldig bra. Ingen sjansar imot før på slutten av kampen. Då kom det riktignok tre. Ankergren hadde ikkje mykje å gjere og ingen feil.

Ein av dei betre førsteomgangane heime på lang tid. Bunnsolid defansivt og kjem til to- tre gode sjansar sjølv. Som vanleg blei andre omgangen endå betre. To store sjansar i løpet av dei første minutta og der kom fleire sjansar kampen igjennom.

Syns midtbana spelte sin beste kamp på lenge defansivt, med godt duellspel og jobba godt i lag.

Angåande Beckford fekk han unødvendig mykje dritt kampen igjennom. Ingen sympati når han låg nede med "skade". Men ingen kommentarar når Becchio gjer det samme. Syns Beckford hadde ein brukbar kamp og han spring mykje, prøvar mykje, men har berre ikkje formen inne for tida. Største minuset er at han ikkje går i haudeduellar. Får mykje drittslenging for det og skjønnar til dels det. Men eg meinar at so lenge han gjer jobben elles, treng han ikkje ofre seg i haudeduellane. Han er ikkje den type spelar. Jublinga når han blir bytta ut, finn eg forkasteleg. Samtidig er det heller ikkje akseptabelt at han ikkje tar Grayson i handa. Sit med samme følelsen som etter Walsall-kampen borte i fjor. Han spelar ikkje lenge for Leeds.

Håpar han tar seg sjølv i nakken, skværar opp med Grayson og lagkameratar, og scorar hatrick andre juledag.......

 Hørte at tilskuerne jublet mye mer for Becchio enn Beckford da laget ble lest opp. Han har nok ingen spesiell høy stjerne, nei.

"We competed when we needed to, battled when we needed to, but also had the quality players to pass the ball around too.

Høydepunkter ute på LUTV nå. Virket som en meget fortjent seier - skapte mange sjanser og var meget solid defensivt (bortsett fra de siste minuttene).

Beckford-episoden ble ikke vist på LUTV, men man kan tydelig se at Beckford er svært skuffet over å bli byttet ut. Forhåpentligvis har Beckford og Grayson skværet opp allerede slik at vi får se Beckford finne tilbake til scoringsformen allerede i neste kamp.

Som vanlig viser LUTV bare de beste periodene fra kampen men av det jeg ser er Kisnorbo helt enorm, målet til Snodgrass er topp topp klasse, Johnson skal få problemer med å gå rett inn på laget og Beckford situasjonen er blåst voldsomt opp!

Men vi hadde griseflaks på slutten.

Little to do today as the defence in front of him stopped the crosses and got the blocks in.

Bromby 7
Solid performance, part of a mean defence.

Naylor 7
Another who put in a steady performance at the back.

Kisnorbo 8 Star man
The leader in defence, organiser and nothing gets past him, when he doesn't play we miss his authority.
Hughes 7
His best game in a white shirt, got forward to support the attack and some telling blocks at the back. However, his distribution is still poor.

Howson 6
Not as good in the first half but when switched to the left in the second half drew a couple of good saves from the Keeper, unlucky to be subbed.

Kilkenny 7
On the ball a lot, but a tendency to overpass the ball, had opportunities to shoot around the box but opted to pass.

Doyle 6
A lot of running around, another who over passed around the area, if you have the chance shoot.

Snodgrass 7
Stunning goal, battled well, delivery from set pieces today were over hit, he needs to bring variation into the delivery.

Becchio 7
No change from the central defenders but his usual performance, got stuck in and brought others into the game.

Beckford 3
Not at the races, missed a couple of early chances and faded after that. Subs

Johnson -6- Steady 15 minutes nice to have him back

Gradel -6- Nothing flashy

A couple of issues to deal with;-

1 - Casper - I cannot condone the fans for there sarcastic cheers when he catches the ball, he is our Number 1 at the moment and keeps clean sheets most of the time so instead of being sarcastic show him support.

2 - Beckford - As with Casper, jeering our own players when being subbed is unacceptable over the last two seasons his goals got us into the playoffs and again this season he has scored critical goals, yes he had a poor game and should have scored. He shook hands as he left the field with Gradel, chose not to shake Simon Grayson`s hand and stormed off down the tunnel that is unacceptable and Grayson said after the game he will be spoken to in house on Monday and dealt with.

A very solid performance in front of a large Christmas crowd, Leeds bossed the game from start to finish and deserved the victory.

The victory was built on the solidity of the defence, but the players need to adopt a shoot on sight policy as we overpass around the opposition area.
