Betraktninger fra en Portsmouth-tilhenger:
Schmeichel
Not as good as his dad is he? And what is that kit all about?
Ok performance - Not sure he could have done anything about either goal, but made a blinding save to keep Utaka from making it 2-0 on the half hour
Connolly.
Not sure he was playing to be honest - Offered nothing
Bromby
As with Connolly, offered nothing and looked very shaky at times
Bruce
Needs communication lessons, got confused with Connolly for Pompey's second and had a blazing row with the 'jaffa man' (Schmeichel) in the first half.
That said he did make a crucial headed clearance in stoppage time to deny us the winner but I can now see why you rate Andy O'Brien so highly.
McCartney
He played well considering he had the busy Lawrence to contend with most of the time in the first half.
Got forward well in the second half as Leeds started to dominate. Would you consider a swap with Dickinson?
Oh and was that a handball in the first half?
Snodgrass
Invisible in the first half apart from a clattering tackle on Lawrence and a cleanly struck but non-threatening free kick just before the interval.
He was a different player in the second half.
Roasted Dickinson on a number of occasions and provided the free-kick which led to the first equaliser. Could have snatched the winner towards the end but pulled his effort just wide.
Howson (c)
A good solid performance and was the one player who tried to get Leeds into the game in the first half. Made Ashdown work hard five minutes from the end with a strike that would have won the game.
Johnson,
A bit like the lights, switched on and off throughout the game.
Oh and was that free-kick last week a one-off?
Cries of Quashie, Quashie from the Fratton End will sum up his shooting for Pompey fans.
Gradel
By far your star man. Got everywhere (including up Greg Halford's nose) Cracking opening shot from 25 yards in the first two minutes, deserved more
Becchio
Quiet in the first half, but did head away successive corners. Took his goal well but our defending was poor (as normal). Good movement for Somma's goal
Watt
Despite having an apt name considering the power failure, he never got into the game. Lucky for you was replaced by Somma
Somma
Replaced the invisible Watt. A cracking shot with his first touch into the bottom corner gave Ashdown no chance. Also could have had the winner with ten to go but headed over the bar.
Leeds Fans
Observed the minute`s applause well. Passionate, loud and noisy as usual. Great banter with the Fratton End, just as fans should be, just like us
In summary
We won the first half - You won the second.
A fair result and one we would have taken before the game. 5-5 on aggregate. If you sort your defence out you'll go up, if we sort our defence out we'll stay up.
