Innlegg teamtalk:
Dear Brian, I think you are a decent man trying very hard in what are, no doubt, difficult circumstances. However, I have lost patience with you now. I am fed up with you using the takeover as an excuse for YOUR failure to address the footballing issues that have been transparent to the rest of us for months. When I hear you claiming that the players are affected by the 'uncertainty' and are worried that they might not get paid, do you really think that is any kind of an excuse for footballing ineptitude? I have a home and away season ticket. I go to every game. I had to take two days off work to go to Bournemouth. I'm self-employed. There was no uncertainty about it for me. Those two days I didn't get paid. But I still turned up. In my previous job, my colleagues and I lived under the threat of redundancy for over 4 years. On six occasions I had to reapply for my job, at risk of losing my livelihood, my car, possibly my home. But my colleagues and I continued to work as hard, if not harder, than ever, 50 - 60 hours a week, not just a few hours in the morning and on a Saturday afternoon. Why? Because we had pride in the jobs that we did. Because we were a team and we wanted to look out for each other. Because we cared about our customers who still relied on us. Because we had pride in ourselves. Job uncertainty is the reality for millions of ordinary working folk who just get on with it without the luxury of being able to stash savings away or insure their earnings. So forgive me Brian but your excuses are hollow and your attempts to deflect the media away from your own shortcomings are increasingly pathetic. Even your Captain is embarrassed by them and has distanced himself from them. If you are the decent man I think you are you should admit you got lucky at Reading but you're out of your depth now. Walk with your head held high. That is all.
