Report: Liverpool had agreed Leeds loan deal for Ovie Ejaria prior to his injury.
According to a report from All Nigeria Soccer, Leeds United were offered the chance to sign Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria in January, before injury scuppered the deal.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp allegedly agreed to allow the 19-year-old to move to Elland Road for the rest of the season, but Leeds pulled out of the agreement when Ejaria suffered ligament damage shortly before the transfer deadline.
The teenager has featured eight times for Liverpool in all competitions this season and he would have been a welcome addition to a Leeds side that recently waved goodbye to fellow attacking midfielder Alex Mowatt.
Unfortunately for all concerned, Ejaria now faces a spell on the side-lines, but Leeds still had an eventful final few hours of the January window, bringing in wingers Alfonso Pedraza and Mo Barrow on loan from Villarreal and Swansea City respectively.
In time Ejaria is expected to be a big player at Liverpool, it is only a shame that he was not given the opportunity to continue his development at Leeds, where young talent has thrived in recent years.
