Good question Liam. You're not the first to raise it. Colleagues and ex-colleagues who are either season ticket holders or occasional home match attendees have reported similar. Only Leeds fans can really answer this, if they indeed agree with the sentiment. Is it the lack of jeopardy in games? The negative way that almost every opposition side plays when they arrive and the sometimes boring football that follows? I wouldn't like to suggest that entitlement has set in but Leeds fans do expect to win their home games. In my experience so far, Elland Road was at its urgent best when the fans were most needed. Must-win games bring the best out of Leeds fans. When we get to that stage I would expect the stadium to be rocking.

Yes I do. I thought that last season too. But I think it with more conviction this season. If anyone is going to do a Leicester or an Ipswich then it's Leeds, for me. I think they go up with Sheffield United, automatically, if the Blades can get some more strength in depth this month. If the Blades don't strengthen then it's Leeds and Burnley.

I won't do any name dropping today. Joffy is a candidate as he hasn't played that much, but who goes out we will make some decisions that are benefiocial for us in the coming weeks. You can maybe expect one or two younger players to go out on loan, that makes sense and we'll make a decision in the coming days.
Why a quiet January?
Several of the long term injurd players are back. Firpo is back, Illia looks good in training. option ar egood to have, but if you have too many and the group is too big it can divide the group. We have a perfect unity and this is why we are the team that has won more points, we don't want to risk that spirit in the group.

That spirit is more important in the crunch time and as things stand we are the best team in the league at the top. If there is a new injury we will change our plans, but at the moment we expect a quiet January.

Farke on if right man comes
If you offer me Jude Bellingham tomorrow, or Virgil Van Dijk wats to come to us then I would explore it, but you don't get offere those type of players. If there are one or two positions when we are weak then it is important to stay awake to it and spend some money.

It is difficult to improve our squad right now. If there is a bargain, then we will stay awake to that. The ownership trust me and that is why I am signed as manager.

They trust me and know who they've signed as a manager. I take the decision, but I think it's also important to be open to communicate. Nowadays it's not a one-man show, like a manager would have done 20-30 years ago. Otherwise I wouldn't be top in my job if I didn't trust specialists in certain areas. I don't want to reign like a King and don't explain my decisions. I'm talking to our key people, not a round-table every day but I decide. To listen and hear their opinions, speak about what we can improve but in general, training ground, stadium, whatever - a pretty trustful connection. In our communication with Paraag and Angus, they've fully convinced me we're on the same page. We're one group, if we're successful, we are successful together. I'm just a little piece in the whole project of Leeds United. I'm talking, explaining, asking question. In January, perhaps a bit more focused on players. We talk with each other.

Farke on staying awake in January
The first thing is to speak about which positions. I think then also to be proactive with recruitment, with our network to check what is possible. If right now there's a player who makes us better in a special position I would never say no. In January if a player is available, it's often a difficult situation, often overpriced, or the second is he's coming from a long-term injury or is not with the rhythm. If you offer me tomorrow Jude Bellingham, I wouldn't say no. I'm totally happy with centre-back positions but if Virgil van Dijk wants to join, then yeah you explore it. In January, it's the player who's been out for three months. For that, in January I'm a bit more careful in comparison to the summer, but perhaps if there are a few positions you're weaker due to injury or a quality issue, then it's good to stay awake, speak to our people, spend some money. Again, it's also difficult to improve our squad because we have a pretty good group, top player, top character, who's affordable, is difficult. If there is out of coincidence or special situation there's a bargain then we'll stay awake.

Sheff Utd hentet Ben Brereton Diaz. Så mulighetene er der hvis man ønsker å ha litt bedre dekning. Han innrømmet jo at det var en posisjon og to som kanskje kunne forbedres, og da antar jeg 10-er rollen og kanskje spiss. Skuffende hvis vi går hele januar uten å signere en offansiv spiller. Bamford på nytt ute en måneds tid. Han kan vi jammen ikke regne med resten av sesongen. Da står du der med Piroe og Joseph. Tenk hvis Piroe blir skadet 1. februar?

Veldig bra. Utlån er eneste mulighet for å bygge erfaring når vi har så god dekning på midten. Tror vi kan forvente (håpe?) at flere av unggutta går ut på lån i januar.
