To add on to @Definitely Maybury comment, I've also been told that the Doekhi links are wide of the mark and it's fake news.

Apparently, what is happening is a change in approach. Players originally earmarked and intended targets for the summer are now being actively pursued this month. I'm assuming that our plan is centred around loan deals with obligations if we stay up. There is a real push to go for it this month.

There's still interest in Harry Wilson and he still wants the move, but at the moment it seems that Silva is the obstacle again.

We're not in for Doekhi at all, pure fabrication from his agent that one. Not happening. Amazed it's got as much traction as it has, only results in people getting upset about a deal we weren't even doing.

The good news is that even though nothing has come out, we have met with several targets and things are ready to go. Once it gets to the 'yes' from everyone stage it tends to be very quick and that's when agents start talking to Fabrizio Romano & other journalists

It's still for the two positions (9 and 10/RW type), just lining up our options more than anything.

Haven't heard Wilson's name mentioned this time, maybe they'll try but I think at this point Silva would lose his mind if he went & Wilson can be smart and play his options for a big fat contract as a bosman in the summer

The deals are lined up, is the point. It's not a case of finding players who are up for it & clubs willing to do a deal, it's down to what Farke wants/will take this month now

Because what is the alternative, to let Farke dictate a list of players he likes? Or to give him a gigantic list of players we haven't spoken to in person?

This is just how it works, they tend to pitch a top 3 and Farke & his staff form their own opinions on that. Sometimes he has his own targets as was widely reported with the GK situation in the summer, but this is how modern recruitment works so the deals are ready to go when everyone is aligned
