Formation and line-up
Peacock-Farrell; Halme, Diaz, Berardi; Hosannah, Gotts, Oduor; Dallas, Brown, Kamwa; Edmondson.

Oztumer with a good effort
Erhun Oztumer is the stand-out name in this Bolton line-up. Plenty of EFL appearances and rave reviews, especially in League One with Walsall. The diminutive, and I mean tiny, talent just worked some space in front of Gotts on the edge of the box and had a crack from range. Not far wide. Looked like Peacock-Farrell had saved it from back here in the press box, but wide.
12min
Berardi bails out Peacock-Farrell
Goalkeeper was far too lax in his pass out from the back to Halme. Olawale Tanimowo intercepted the pass and drove to the byline, crossed towards the back stick and Halme was there to cut it out before Berardi cleared. Not great from the stopper.

Decent game breaking out
Some end-to-end stuff so far. Each side causing the other some problems. Brown and Edmondson already getting on the end of things in the Bolton box
19min
KEY EVENT
Best chance of the game so far
Hall gets in behind the United backline to go one-on-one with Peacock-Farrell, but the stopper stands up and the striker shoots straight at him.
23min
Dallas looking robust
Northern Ireland international picking up where he left off on Friday. Just committed to a flat out 40-yard sprint with Luiori Johnson for a loose ball and kept pace, made the tackle and won a foul of Johnson. Looks in good nick.
27min
Poor Kamwa pass ruins promising build-up
Whites break well from a Bolton attack through Diaz, then Gotts and then Kamwa in a lovely position down the left coming into the box. Squares it across the ground and fails to even beat the first man.
32min
Whites asserting some control
Without hugely troubling Jake Turner in the Bolton goal, United have some semblance of control on this game. Need Brown on the ball in more space.
33min
Double scare for United
And then just like that, Bolton show their threat. Hall gets in behind once more and squares across goal. Peacock-Farrell can’t reach it and Berardi is forced into a last-ditch block to deny Tanimowo. In the following phase United fail to clear properly and Everton loanee Joe Williams is able to get a shot off from outside the box. Pings off Peacock-Farrell’s left post.
38min
Gotts deserved better
The midfielder began by putting a monstrous sliding challenge wide on Bolton’s left touchline and actually won the throw-in from it. In the next phase he picked up the ball, ran, straddled a hefty sliding challenge of his own, and then got to the byline with a delicious cross to the far post. Kamwa controlled it, but could not do anything with it before giving it away to Mark Little.

KEY EVENT
Dallas hits the target
Lovely first touch from Brown in centre-field takes three or four Bolton players out of the game. He releases Dallas to come in off the right flank. Hosannah goes by on the overlap, but Dallas cuts in and shoots, left-footed. Turner drops to his left and saves.

KEY EVENT
Kamwa hits the target
In a near carbon copy of Dallas from the right, Kamwa now cuts in from the left and lets fly. On target, but saved.
13:52
KEY EVENT
Half-time: Whites 0-0 Bolton
An even game and a fair scoreline. Little in it and plenty of end-to-end action. Not expecting Berardi or Dallas to emerge in the second half.

KEY EVENT
Second half underway - triple change
Berardi, Dallas and Brown off for Davis, Stevens and McCalmont. A good sign for Saturday, you would think.
49min
Second-half shape
Peacock-Farrell; Halme, Diaz, Davis; Hosannah, McCalmont, Oduor; Stevens, Gotts, Kamwa; Edmondson.
55min
Great defensive work by Diaz
Connor Hall does very well to take in the ball wide right, on the halfway line, draw in Davis, turn him and then knock the ball past Halme as he came steaming in. Takes the two defenders out of the game and bears down on the box until he meets and gets clattered by Diaz.
Davis had sprinted back with hall and seems to have been caught in the tackle too. Seems okay after some treatment.
59min
Bolton change
Tanimowo’s race is run. Comes off clutching his groin. Ronan Darcy on.
60min
Diaz booked
A slight nudge on Hall, who went over very easily.

KEY EVENT
GOAL - Whites
Jordan Stevens shows and excellent first touch and composure to round Turner and slot into an empty net. Chance from an unbelievable slide-rule pass from Hugo Diaz about 40 yards out. Picked the pass and runner as the whole Bolton tam stepped up, to give Stevens the time and space to finish. Lovely goal.

KEY EVENT
GOAL - Whites
A second in quick succession. A scooped pass forward picks out Gotts, who dinks the bouncing ball over the advancing Turner and into an empty net.
71min
One-way traffic now
It’s all United since those two goals went in. Bolton, all of a sudden, doing very little to get in behind or threaten the hosts. Davis and McCalmont picking some lovely passes from deep.
80min
Whites controlling
Little report, really. United still looking motivated and probing where possible. Bolton looking less interested. Third goal would not be out of the question.
84min
Bielsa keeping a low profile
The first-team head coach is here and keeping a much lower profile than he did on Friday when he was mobbed for photographs. Keeping his hood up this afternoon while he speaks with Victor Orta and Angus Kinnear.
87min
Diaz puts his body on the line
Clean sheet remains intact after Diaz got in the way of a howitzer of a strike from point-blank range. Takes a few seconds to compose himself before getting to his feet.
14:56
KEY EVENT
Full-time: Whites 2-0 Bolton
Goals from Jordan Stevens and Robbie Gotts prove the difference in that second half. United extend their lead at the top of Professional Development League Group North.
