Time for turnaround running out
Leeds United are running out of time to save their season, and their place in the Championship. Still fixed firmly to the bottom of the league, the Yorkshire club are three full points and a substantial goal difference away from safety.
Following a disappointing draw to home at QPR, in front of a seasons' record crowd just short of 30000, Leeds now take to the road for two tricky away ties, starting at Wolves on Saturday and the replanned Birmingham match next Tuesday, and few are hopeful of more than one point being picked up between the two ties.
In the past few games, Leeds have started well but faded, with two shocking second half displays. The latest, against a defensive QPR showed Leeds to be short of idea's or creativity, and following a run of ten goals in five games, Leeds have failed to find the net on their last two outings.
Wise may need to shuffle things around at the weekend with SA and Thompson both leaving the field of play through injury and with confidence at an all time low, Leeds need to find the enrgy and courage to turn things around - the gap is not unrecoverable as things stand today, but could be looking that way this time next week.
