Swansea v Leeds
Swansea have been boosted by news that skipper Garry Monk (dead leg) should be fit for their first home meeting with Leeds in 23 years.
Paul Anderson is also expected to play despite a mild bout of tonsillitis and striker Jason Scotland is also fit.
Leeds manager Dennis Wise is not expected to make many changes, with no new injury or suspension problems.
He must decide whether to start with skipper Alan Thompson or retain Radostin Kishishev in central midfield.

Police Plan for Leeds League Fixture

SOUTH Wales Police are preparing themselves for the arrival of thousands of Leeds United football fans in Swansea tomorrow.
Around 2,800 Leeds supporters are expected to make the journey for the match and police say they are mounting a major public safety operation to ensure that the action remains on the Liberty Pitch.
Violence broke out at a Leeds away game in Carlisle last month when fans ran riot in town centre pubs before and after the match.
Leeds and Cardiff fans share a bitter rivalry and there are also concerns that some Cardiff hooligans may try to target the Swansea game.
Police will be out in force on the day, with mounted officers and dog handlers helping to keep the peace.
Also, officers known as "spotters", from both South Wales and West Yorkshire Police, will be used to identify potential troublemakers in the crowd.
They have also ensured there is appropriate segregation in the stadium.

Superintendent Julian Williams said:
"We have been involved in a significant amount of planning with the clubs for this fixture."
"To cope with the number of people attending, we have a substantial number of resources working on the day."
"This is a family event which will attract a large number of people, and the policing on this day will be there to assist and ensure that the event runs safely for all concerned."
"This is a big game for Swansea. We are not expecting trouble and we hope everything goes smoothly."
"We will be there to ensure everyone's safety."
"However, people should be warned that if they attend to engage in disorder, they will be dealt with firmly."

Leeds are a massive, massive club - Swansea's Robinson

Leeds United head to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City tomorrow for a clash which could see the winners finishing 2007 at the top of League One. Swans striker Andy Robinson is in no doubt that his side will face one of their sternest examinations of the season against a Leeds side who would be 12 points clear at the top but for their 15 points deduction.
'They have obviously got a great team spirit and we all know they are going to be a good side,' said Robinson. 'I missed the game up there, but the boys told me that Leeds have adapted to the physical battle in League One really well and that's a credit to them. It's a huge game, one of the biggest of my career because Leeds are a massive, massive club. But our dressing room is full of confidence and we go into it believing we can take all three points.'
Meanwhile Leeds boss Dennis Wise has demanded a positive response to the Whites below-par showing at Hartlepool on Boxing Day. 'We'll probably play better against them than the last couple of games because it's a massive top-of-the-table clash,' he predicted. 'I think that will suit us, and I hope it will suit us. It's a big game with a big crowd, and you should be excited by that as a player because I am as a manager. I'll get my lads going. Swansea will be up there in May, and Nottingham Forest as well. We know what we've got to get out of these games.'

Leeds ready to face twelfth man at Swansea

Leeds manager Dennis Wise has vowed to make sure his team are fired up ahead of their trip to leaders Swansea.
The Yorkshire side are visiting Swansea for the first time in 23 years and will be 'greeted' by in excess of 20,000 fans at the Liberty Stadium.

Loud and proud: Dennis Wise faces a tough trip to Swansea

With his team currently third and three points behind the leaders, Wise said: "They are a big side in this league and, as a player, you should be looking forward to it. I'll get the lads going."
Swansea manager Roberto Martinez said: "Our fans need to be the 12th man on the pitch. If we create the sort of atmosphere we had to endure at Elland Road then it would be a huge advantage for us. We need the fans to create an electric environment."

United have incentive to leapfrog over Swans

DENNIS WISE is backing his Leeds United side to rise to the occasion today when first plays third in League One.
Leaders Swansea City are expecting a capacity crowd for the first visit of United to the impressive Liberty Stadium.
Wise was critical of his players' efforts in the Boxing Day draw at Hartlepool United but believes the incentive of knowing that a win in south Wales will be enough to leapfrog over the hosts will go a long way towards ensuring there is an improvement.
The Leeds manager said: "The lads had a day off after Hartlepool and then we flew down to Swansea, which was a big plus. You have to be ready for these things. Everyone is okay, everyone is fit.
"It is difficult at this time of year because you don't want to slog them, but you want to put a lot across to them.
"Swansea will set up a certain way, possibly 4-3-3 or two wide men and one up front depending how you look at it. We have to be ready. We haven't got much time and we have to be prepared.
"It is a good game for us to come to, and we will probably play better against them than in the last couple of games.
"It is a massive top of the table clash, there will be a capacity crowd and they are a big side in this league. As a player you should be looking forward to a game like this. I will get the lads going and hopefully we can get a result."
Midfield man Alan Thompson, who will miss the League One meeting with Northampton Town on January 5 through suspension, is set to return to the starting line-up after being on the bench in the 1-1 draw at Hartlepool.

Kjenn spenningen i kroppen nu...Come on Leeds...

COME ON LEEDS !!

Tom S
