Kamp 28/4:
Northampton vs. MK Dons
Northampton - Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 (0-1)
MKD: Aaron Wilbraham 34
Now it's all up to Leeds for Cobblers!Northampton Town need a point at Leeds United on the last day of the season to guarantee their League One status after Aaron Wilbraham secured victory for MK Dons at Sixfields.
The Dons No.9 struck the only goal of the game in the 34th minute to take all three points for his side.
After a scrappy first half with few chances, Cobblers boss Stuart Gray rolled the dice at half-time and gambled on the fitness of Adebayo Akinfenwa, who was deemed not fit enough to start but replaced Ryan Gilligan for the second half.
Wilbraham should have made it two just a minute after half-time when Jason Crowe's fall in the box presented him with a clear shot at goal, but Chris Dunn saved his weak attempt.
Luke Guttridge smashed a volley towards goal with 72 minutes on the clock, but Jude Stirling was brave enough to block the midfielder's effort at point blank range.
Gray went for broke with nine minutes to go when he brought on Adam Watts for Mark Hughes, placing the on-loan Fulham defender up front alongside Akinfenwa, Leon Constantine, Ikechi Anya and Andy Holt.
Watts was so nearly the hero when his bullet header sailed narrowly wide with three minutes left on the clock.
But the Cobblers will have to take points off promotion chasing Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday or hope Carlisle fail to win at home to Millwall if they are to stay in the division.
