Typisk?

confirmed Tony Capaldi has the option to join Leeds United on a permanent basis.

Capaldi linked up with the League One leaders on loan last month and is due to stay at Elland Road until the New Year.

The Northern Ireland international has made five appearances for Simon Grayson's side and has expressed a wish to stay at Leeds.

Jones is willing to let the 28-year-old move on and says a decision will rest with both Leeds and the former Plymouth Argyle man.

Jones told Cardiff's official website: "Tony's got an opportunity to sign for Leeds if they want to sign him, that's the reason he went there."

Middlesbrough after Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford

Beckford told goals can win over Leeds supporters
SIMON GRAYSON has told Leeds United top scorer Jermaine Beckford a couple of Boxing Day goals will go a long way towards winning over fans still unhappy over his public display of dissent.
The striker angered both the Elland Road crowd and his manager by petulantly storming down the tunnel after being substituted during the 1-0 win over Southampton.
Beckford, who is understood to be interesting Middlesbrough ahead of the transfer window opening next week, also brushed away an attempted handshake by Grayson but has since apologised and the United chief insists the matter is now closed.
Winning over the Leeds fans may, however, prove a tad harder for a player who for all his goalscoring heroics has never been universally popular on the terraces.
Grayson, though, believes Beckford ending a five-week wait for a goal in League One when Hartlepool United come to West Yorkshire on Boxing Day will go a long way towards winning back the fans.
Grayson told the Yorkshire Post: "He apologised and, as far as I am concerned, it is done and dusted now. I was disappointed with his reaction and he knows that. He let down the rest of the players because they were putting their bodies on the line.
"Every decision I make is for the good of the team. It wasn't his day and I have said to him 'if it is not happening for you again in the future I will make exactly the same decision'.
"Hopefully, I won't have to and he will score a couple of goals against Hartlepool so everyone can forget about it and move on."
Beckford turned down a new contract last summer and, providing he is still at Elland Road come the end of January, is likely to be a free agent come the close season.
With Boro manager Gordon Strachan believed to be on the verge of launching a bid, United's resolve to hold on to their striker could be tested.
Grayson said: "Speculation is something we have become used to. We made our stance to leave us with the scenario of him maybe leaving on a free in the summer or signing a new contract. The third option is getting a really good offer that we would have to consider." (YP)

Grayson to review his loan options
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson will turn his thoughts to the future of his loan players this week with the winter transfer window set to open.
The Elland Road boss has a number of decisions to make in the lead-up to January 1 with five players due to leave the League One club in the coming days.
Grayson has exploited the loan market heavily this season, recruiting a
batch of temporary signings in October and November to see him through spells when injuries were weakening his squad, and most of the existing loan deals will expire after tomorrow's clash with Stockport County.
Leicester City winger Max Gradel and Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Sam Vokes â€" both of whom joined Leeds before the club's clash with Norwich City on October 19 â€" could make their final appearances for United at Edgeley Park, though Grayson may yet make moves to retain one or both players for the second half of the campaign.
Liverpool goalkeeper David Martin and QPR winger Hogan Ephraim are also approaching the end of their agreements while Cardiff City left-back Tony Capaldi is available until after Leeds' FA Cup third-round tie at Manchester United next Sunday.
United were recently beset by a glut of injuries affecting several of their regular first-team players, and the regular influx of signings helped the club protect their outstanding League One record and move onto 50 points ahead of yesterday's clash with Hartlepool United at Elland Road.
Grayson has not revealed his exact plans for United's loanees, but said: "I wouldn't have thought all will go back. Some will stay."
At times in the past three months, Luciano Becchio, Richard Naylor, Shane Higgs and Patrick Kisnorbo have been among the names on Grayson's injury list but the vast majority of his senior professionals are fit and available with United set to begin the second half of their campaign after their trip to Stockport.
Ben Parker and Shane Higgs and Leeds' two remaining injury concerns, but Parker's recovery from hip surgery is almost complete and his return would leave Grayson with a fully-fit set of outfield players.
The availability of so many players is likely to influence his decision over which loanees he might attempt to keep.
Of those signed since the start of the season, Gradel has made the most consistent impression, taking his appearances into double figures and scoring three goals.
Leicester say they are not prepared to consider any bids to sign the winger permanently, but Cardiff would be willing to allow Capaldi to join United on a free transfer next month. (YEP)

Grayson ready to dip into loan market
Simon Grayson will happily exploit the loan market again next month if he decides that permanent transfers are not in Leeds United's best interests.
The January transfer window opens on Friday morning, giving Grayson, right, the chance to refresh his squad for the second half of the term, but United's manager does not envisage major changes at Elland Road during the coming month.
His existing squad have carried Leeds eight points clear at the top of League One after one defeat from 23 games, and the club's season has been aided by several shrewd loan deals identified by Grayson.
Michael Doyle's arrival on a season-long contract from Coventry City was the first of seven loans secured by Leeds since the start of August, and Grayson is ready to use that avenue if his permanent targets are unavailable or too expensive.
Grayson said: "We utilised the loan market when we had six or seven players out injured and it's worked well.
"It's there for us to use and there aren't many clubs who go out and spend money in January because there isn't much around. But if I've got some money â€" be it for loans or permanent deals â€" then I'll use it, as long as I feel it's the right thing to do.
"I don't think we need a great deal of strengthening because we've got a good squad here and every time I've needed a player, the chairman (Ken Bates) has backed me.
"I feel comfortable with what we've got but don't get me wrong â€" if players who I think will make us better and help us get promoted become available then I'll go and get them."
Leeds claimed 56 points from their first 23 league matches, taking a substantial step towards automatic promotion, but Grayson insisted he would not allow his plans for the transfer window to be dictated by the possibility that Leeds will require a squad of Championship standard next season.
Grayson said: "We're not in the Championship and the only thing I'll do is bring in players who can help get us into that league. I actually feel I've already got a group who could cope at that level." (YEP)

Grayson opens door to new loan deals

Hughton Must Choose - Harewood Or Beckford?
Chris Hughton last night confirmed he will definitely sign a striker in the January transfer window ... and it looks on that will be Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford.
Beckford has refused to sign a new deal at Leeds and it is well known he is tempted by the thought of a move to Tyneside.
Chris Hughton: “We are still making decisions about what to do in the transfer window, but I have never said that Marlon (Harewood) will not be coming back here.
“When you look at Marlon he got better and better in the period of time he was here.
“If you look at it, we have lost a centre-back and a striker in (Zurab) Khizanishvili and Harewood, so they are the two areas we will look to strengthen when the window opens. We are still looking at it and we will make our decision in private. We still have to decide who the personnel will be but we will add two players to the squad.”
