Warnock etter kampen:
Leeds United manager Neil Warnock was delighted with his first win as Leeds boss today and felt his side were up for it from the off.
As well as his first win, it was also the first two goals scored under his reign as captain Robert Snodgrass and Luciano Becchio netted first half goals in a comfortable 2-0 win.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "It doesn`t get much better than that does it. I thought it was a very competent performance right from the very first whistle.
"I thought we were right in the dressing room and we were hungry. We had messed around for three games without any goals.
"People kept saying, they were really pleased to see me yet I hadn`t got any goals. I said wait until we start scoring goals, you will be happy then.
"There were a lot of individual plusses today; it was a good team performance. We were very competent and professional and there were a lot of unsung heroes like, Connolly, Lees, Clayton, Brown and White.
They are players that are not glamour players, but they did the bread and butter today and I thought we did the nasty part of the game really well."
Leeds were on the front foot from the off against a Boro side coming into the game having won four of their last five and sitting in fourth place in the championship.
The win moves Leeds to within four points of the play off places and if they can perform like this in their final ten games of the season, there is a good possibility of a play-off place come the end of April.
