LEEDS captain Jason Pearce insists Tuesday's stunning win at Bournemouth will mean nothing if his side fail to beat Huddersfield tomorrow. The Whites extended their unbeaten run to three games under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn with a 3-1 victory on the south coast.
The result erased the pain of a thumping 4-1 away defeat at the Cherries last season and encouraged hopes that United can push into the top half of the Championship table.
Defender Pearce said: "In the first half I feared the worst when they scored but the lads showed great determination to stick in there.
"Redders (Redfearn) gave us a bit of a telling off at half-time and we showed great character to get back into it and eventually win the game.
"We aren't going to get carried away. Bournemouth will be up there this season as they are a very good team.
"We will keep our feet on the ground and it doesn't mean anything if we don't get a result against Huddersfield."
Redfearn is expected to remain in control for tomorrow's local derby as Leeds owner Massimo Cellino attempts to finalise the appointment of a new head coach.
