Darko Milanic is the new Leeds United boss, but did you know he was a very successful footballer in his playing days?
Milanic was a Slovenian international, one who even captained his country at Euro 2000.
Playing his club football for Sturm Graz at the time, Milanic was involved in a memorable 3-3 draw with rivals Yugoslavia at the tournament - a country he even represented five times.
Milanic's Slovenia lost narrowly to Spain, 2-1, and drew with Norway 0-0, and went out bottom of the group with two points.
He won 42 caps for his country, and went toe to toe with a number of the world's best players, pictured above with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who put Leeds to the sword on several occasions.
Milanic won three Austrian Bundesliga titles with Sturm Graz as a player, and three Austrian Cups. It was this connection with the club which led him to being appointed as manager a year ago.
He had made his international debut for Yugoslavia all the way back in 1991, against Czechslovakia, a 0-0 draw in a friendly contest.
One of the matches he played for the now split international nation was against Brazil, when he lined up alongside Yugoslav teammates Dejan Savicevic and Predrag Mijatovic, landing up however losing 3-1.
It was in 1992 that Slovenia's national team was formed and he made his debut, eventually leading them to qualify for Euro 2000 thanks to a memorable play-off victory over an Andriy Shevchenko led Ukraine, going onto retire after the tournament.
His history of playing alongside and against many of the world's best footballers shows his experience, which he has taken into management, winning titles at Maribor and coaching the side in the Europa League.
Milanic's pedigree is a huge step up over former Forest Green boss Dave Hockaday, Leeds' owner Massimo Cellino's previous appointment.
Are you confident Milanic will be a success at Leeds?
