* Frisk Harrison idag.

Fortjent 0-2

Foreshaw var meget god. Harrison var frisk og Bamford scorer 2. Vil gjøre enormt for han. 3 på 3 nå i ligaen. Sterkt.
Tøff kamp mot Brentford i uka.

Høye karakterer fra Phil Hay i dag:

Made easier by the early red card today but that's a classy win all the same. Seven points from three matches for Leeds now. Let's kick off with some quick ratings. Adam Forshaw my pick for MOTM, run close by an excellent Jack Harrison. Forshaw's finding his niche:

Casilla - 7
Dallas - 8
White - 7
Cooper - 8
Douglas - 7
Phillips - 8
Harrison - 8
Klich - 7
Forshaw - 9
Hernandez - 7
Bamford - 8

Bielsa:

How pleased?
It was a deserved and fair result. We could score more goals and make a bigger difference. Playing with an advantage is important. We played with experience, a balanced game. We could have shined more. It was a game to be careful of the free-kicks. Today we played with more calm in defence.

Pleased with the start?
The game against Forest we deserved to win. Today we had one extra player. In the first game, we played well, but conceded chances. In general, the performance is increasing game by game.

Q&A med Hay
Important note from today was, Pablo wasn't firing on all cylinders and yet we were still creating chances and scoring goal. Put simply that cost us alot of points last season so if we can do this and then add Costa and Nekitah in to tougher situations I feel alot more confident.

Phil Hay
@Joshua L. Hernandez wasn't at the top of his game but was still dangerous and a nuisance. But I agree, there are other strings to Leeds' bow. Harrison has improved, Forshaw is a threat and Bielsa has Nketiah and Costa on the bench.

Leeds United player ratings after routine 2-0 win over ten-man Wigan
All the marks out of ten after exorcising the demons of last time out against Wigan
By Nestor Watach
17:00, 17 AUG 2019

Leeds United put in a dominant display against Wigan Athletic to come away with three points from the DW stadium, winning 2-0 on the day.
Marcelo Bielsa's men exorcised some of last season's demons when they took advantage of Wigan's early red card (a familiar story) with goals from Patrick Bamford either side of half-time.

Here’s how they rated individually.
Leeds United (4-1-4-1)

13 Kiko Casilla â€" six
Made a decent stop midway through the first half to deny Lee Evans free-kick, but had little else to do until another free-kick stop late on, this one a little showier. Didn't rush out and give as many heart-stopping moments as in recent weeks, but never needed to. A spectator.

15 Stuart Dallas â€" seven
Set a new standard with his two-goal showing against Derby last season, and hasn't looked back at the start of the new season. Showed good positional awareness

5 Ben White â€" seven
He had a height disadvantage against the giant Kieffer Moore and was drawn into making fouls, for which he was eventually shown a yellow card on the stroke of half-time. The first time he's looked rattled in a United shirt, but showed how cool he is in a comfortable second half.

6 Liam Cooper â€" seven
Didn't put a foot wrong. An experienced performance in the backline, he won six aerial challenges - more than twice as many as any of his team-mates.

3 Barry Douglas â€" seven
Wasteful with set pieces early on, but improved as the game went on and put in a couple of great crosses in the second half, notably the corner that Bamford converted for Leeds' second. Douglas was also involved in many of Leeds best moves going forward. He touched the ball 99 times - the most of any player on the pitch.

23 Kalvin Phillips â€" seven
Was never going to let Leeds repeat the nightmare against ten man Wigan, and showed typical doggedness in the base of midfield. Kept it relativelty simple with his passing, as the job today required.

19 Pablo Hernandez â€" seven
Could have doubled the lead shortly before half-time but struck an uncharacteristically tame effort straight at David Marshall, before forcing a fantastic full-stretch save from the goalkeeper with a top corner free-kick in the second half. He completed five dribbles, more than any other Leeds player.

43 Mateusz Klich â€" six
Played in the ball that led to United's opener and was a lively presence, an impressive shift after playing all 90 minutes against Salford in midweek after flagging against Nottingham Forest. Withdrawn for Helder Costa with 15 minutes to play.

4 Adam Forshaw â€" eight
A key figure in asserting Leeds dominance at the DW, where Wigan rarely lose. It's easy to see why Bielsa rates him so highly with displays like this. Somehow hit the upright with the goal gaping, but luckily for him Patrick Bamford was on hand to tap in the rebound. Did especially well to keep out of trouble after an early booking.

22 Jack Harrison â€" six
Linked up well with Douglas down the left hand side and looks increasingly like a nuisance for opposition defenders going forward. End product still occasionally lacking.

9 Patrick Bamford â€" eight
Nothing pretty about either of his goals, the first a tap-in and the second bundled in at short range from a corner, but showed good striker's instinct to be in the right place to finish them. Received regular applause from the travelling support for his willingness to chase down balls.

Substitutes
1 Illan Meslier
10 Gjanni Alioski
14 Eddie Nketiah
17 Helder Costa - six
Didn't get a chance to show what he can offer with just 15 minutes to go.

28 Gaetano Berardi
44 Mateusz Bogusz

46 Jamie Shackleton - N/A
Introduced too late to make an impact

Total kontroll idag.

Stemmer inntrykket mitt at Forshaw spelte lengre opp i banen enn vanleg?

For noen kjempemål av Bambi i dag !!!!   Men goal er goal

Uhyre viktig å være på plass.

Remember Chapman, anyone?

+1
