Ups & Ups!!

Bielsa på pressern:

Phillips - White solution?
Yes. He’s our most important option

Humor har han også :)
Short corner for Klich's goal - players or your idea?
We took your recommendation.

Bielsa igjen:
Leeds back on top - how significant at this stage?
It’s important. It’s a long way forward. We have to give some value to the current position because in a league like this, the future is built match by match. The most important is the regularity in every match to make a difference. We cannot talk about regularity if we don’t let the league go more forward.

How to sum up November?
One part of the competition where you win five matches. Always is good, but we also know we won two matches against Luton and Reaing very late on, so there are a lot of details we have to analyse. Not just winning, you have to analyse how you win every match.

Lukter vel litt Manager of the Month nå... :D

Leeds-Live sine player ratings…

Leeds United player ratings after running riot in special display against dire Middlesbrough
All of the marks out of 10 for Marcelo Bielsa's Whites against Middlesbrough

By Beren CrossDigital Sports Writer  16:54, 30 NOV 2019Updated17:03, 30 NOV 2019

Leeds United (3-1-4-1-1)
13 Kiko Casilla - six
Very little to do in a game the opposition did nothing with the small moments of pressure they had. Made a mug of Ashley Fletcher when he side stepped his charge down.

2 Luke Ayling - eight
Superb performance from the right-back, who may have had a brace on another day. Given the licence and space to bomb forward at will. Found himself inside the Boro box on more than one occasion. Never troubled in defence. Passing on point and won his fair share of free-kick as usual with the Ayling Flop.

5 Ben White - seven
Quiet and efficient afternoon for the player of the season contender. Untroubled by Britt Assombalonga.

6 Liam Cooper © - seven
Much the same as White. Did his job with no frills.

23 Kalvin Phillips - seven
Picked up a yellow which means he is suspended for next weekend's derby, but excellent otherwise. Nothing came past him.

17 Helder Costa - seven
Enjoyed his day as much as any of the forwards with this opposition, but hard to say he truly shone when he needed to until the magnificent third goal came. His moment finally arrived and you hope it unlocks weeks more of the same.

15 Stuart Dallas - seven
Like the centre-backs, Dallas did what he needed to, but never stood out for excellence. Did complete a few tasty through-balls. Not bad for a full- back.

43 Mateusz Klich - eight
Finally the performance we have been longing for from the Pole. Two goals to make us think it's 18/19 all over again. All over the pitch as usual, but finally that end product we have been yearning for.

22 Jack Harrison - six
Strange to see United score so many and Harrison be involved so little based on his importance across recent weeks. By no means a poor performance, but overshadowed by others.

19 Pablo Hernandez - seven
Not glittering Pablo, but he seemed to really enjoy the central position, pulling the strings. Will enjoy the next week to get ready for Huddersfield Town with no midweek game to tire him out.

9 Patrick Bamford - eight
Phenomenal start to the match to lift the place and reassure everyone this was one of the division's best teams battering one of its worst. Would have wanted more than one goal against such opposition, but a brilliant all-round display as Eddie Nketiah re-emerged in the rearview mirror.

Substitutes
30 Kamil Miazek
3 Barry Douglas
10 Ezgjan Alioski (on for Costa 76min) - six
Work rate as usual.

14 Eddie Nketiah (on for Bamford 79min) - six
Match already won. Swamped a little by the three-man backline.

28 Gaetano Berardi (on for Phillips 83min) - N/A

47 Jack Clarke
48 Jordan Stevens

Costa thoughts?

He gave a step forward today. He scored. He is developing, but he can show more impact to unbalance the game than he did today. Every week he is improving.

Middlesbrough boss Jonathan Woodgate on Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United - 'If they get in the Premier League it'll be some train to get on, it'll only go one way'

Woody:
Thoughts?
Leeds are a really good team. Best team in the Championship without a doubt. Kept on going, but just not good enough. Really good on the day. Eight academy products in the matchday squad the only positives.
Killer conceding so early. Twenty seconds to go, poor defending. They deserved to win, no doubt.

Signs you were coming back in?
Does become difficult at 2-0 down in the first half. Difficult to get back in the game. Gave me everything I had. Tried our best out there. Squad’s really thin.
We need to win our home games and see what we can do away from home. Maybe West Brom as good as that, but not many who will be as good as that.
Leeds are a top team. Coached by a top, top manager.

Difference between the sides compared to 0-0 last year
They’ve improved their squad massively.
Nketiah, Ben White, Bamford. We haven’t got anyone on loan. We’ve lost a lot of players and replaced them with young players from League One. Keep on going, keep fighting.

Bielsa conversation
Remain private, but he’s a top guy.

Bielsa:
What did you say to Woodgate? Challenging time
It’s not a good idea to give an opinion after we won and they lost. I think their players, full-backs, centre-backs, playmakers, too many important players out of the team. To think Middlesbrough we’ve seen today is the real Middlesbrough [is wrong], but we have to say from number 10 and number 30, both teams played similar. We scored in the beginning and end of the first half. Sometimes this fact makes easier the development of the match.

I scored 24 goals helping my side win promotion back to the Premier League aged just 22. Then in my first season in the top flight I had bagged an impressive 15 goals by the end of January. My form earned me an England call-up. Am I a £35m striker? No. I am Michael Ricketts, February 2002.
