Mills extends Rovers stay
Defender to stay at Keepmoat
Doncaster have re-signed Matthew Mills on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old defender impressed manager Sean O'Driscoll during his initial six-month loan spell, when he scored twice in back-to-back games against Walsall and Cheltenham.
Mills had made just one appearance for City last season and was allowed to leave on loan following the appointment of manager Sven Goran Eriksson in the summer.
The centre-back, who has made 14 appearances for Doncaster, becomes O'Driscoll's first signing of the January transfer window as he attempts to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season.
Mills also played on loan under O'Driscoll at Bournemouth before the Doncaster boss moved to the Keepmoat stadium in 2006.

Kamp 12/1:

Doncaster Rovers 1 Carlisle 0

A LATE goal by substitute James Hayter secured Doncaster Rovers a priceless victory against promotion rivals Carlisle United.
Roberts scrambled the winner six minutes from time to lift Rovers back into the League One play-off zone and three points adrift of the top two.
Carlisle had started the game in second place but dropped to third below Nottingham Forest, who cruised to victory over Leyton Orient.
Rovers, who are now fourth, made one team change with striker Mark McCammom returning at the expense of James Hayter who dropped to the bench.
Rovers started the brighter and midfielder Paul Green might have scored but blazed a shot over when Carlisle failed to clear a corner.
The home side kept up the pressure, inspired by Richie Wellens who was pulling the strings in midfield.
But a succession of corners failed to deliver a goal and Rovers were very nearly caught out on the counter attack when former Bradford player Marc Bridge-Wilkinson broke away but showed too much of the ball to James O'Connor.
Wellens was always on the look-out for shooting opportunities and went close on more than one occasion with long range drives.
Carlisle spent long periods in their own half but wasted a gilt-edged chance to take the lead just after the break when winger Simon Hackney dragged a shot wide when unmarked in the area.
Rovers soon picked up where they had left off before the break, however, and could have scored when Jason Price raced onto a long ball out of defence only to find the angle too tight to get the ball past Carlisle goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
Coppinger and O'Connor went close as Rovers maintained the pressure but Carlisle's defence stood up to the challenge.
Rovers goalkeeper Neil Sullivan had to wait until the 79th minute before making his first serious save of the game when Danny Graham narrowly failed to connect with a dangerous low cross from substitute Danny Carlton.
The goal Rovers had been threatening all afternoon finally arrived six minutes from the end; Hayter prodding the ball home at the far post from a Paul Green freekick.
Sullivan produced a vital save in stoppage time to deny Joe Garner an equaliser.

Rovers edge past promotion rivals

James Hayter's strike seven minutes from time settled a nail-biting promotion clash with Doncaster running out 1-0 winners at home to Carlisle.
The game appeared to be heading for a goalless draw despite Rovers' dominance, but a free-kick from Paul Green led to the winner.
The ball bobbled about in the goalmouth and an almighty scramble ensued before Steve Roberts hit an overhead kick which bounced off Hayter's knee and into the net.
It was cruel on Carlisle, but overall Doncaster deserved their win in a game of few clear-cut chances.
Rovers ran the show in the first half, but Ritchie Wellens' volley just before the break was ruled out for pushing.
Carlisle came into the game more in the second half, but it needed a fine save by Kieren Westwood to prevent James Coppinger from scoring. Carlisle's top scorer Joe Garner was denied by a brilliant stop from Neil Sullivan deep into injury time.

Viktig 6 poenger i playoff gruppa.

Doncaster, meanwhile, have sold their full allocation of 3,100 tickets for Saturday's game and Leeds have only a limited number of tickets available left after selling out the North Stand area.
Midfielder Brian Stock is the main injury doubt for Rovers after suffering a bruised knee in the weekend victory over Carlisle United.
Defender Matthew Mills, however, looks set to start after returning to the club for a second spell on loan from Manchester City and recovering from a recent knee operation.

Heffernan hopes hit by illness
Doncaster striker Paul Heffernan's hopes of returning to the first team have suffered a setback after he contracted shingles.
The Irish forward has not played for the League One side since damaging ankle ligaments against Port Vale last November.
Heffernan was due to return to training last week, but must wait a while longer after being struck down with the illness.
The 26-year-old was Rovers top-scorer last season, bagging 21 goals in 44 games.

Rovers can go wild at Leeds
Leeds v Doncaster

Love them or hate them, nobody can fail to have been impressed with the spirit Leeds have shown this season.
The 15-point penalty got everyone in a fighting mood from the very first whistle, and it’s a trait that shows no signs of disappearing, with Ken Bates and Dennis Wise still shooting from the hip on a regular basis.
Wise upset a few people in Derby this week when he declared his club much bigger than the Premiership outfit following the Rams’ interest in Jermaine Beckford.
But bearing in mind that in all probability the clubs will be in the same division next season, it was a comment that seems entirely plausible.
Certainly, no-one can blame Wise for desperately wanting to keep hold of Beckford who looks a class apart at League One level.
With skilful midfielder Neil Kilkenny now giving the Whites a real touch of quality it’s hard to see anyone denying Leeds now with so much passion behind the club, despite the long term loss through injury of skipper Jonathan Douglas.
However, in Yorkshire rivals Doncaster, they will face a side no less keen to get out of League One this season.
For most of the campaign, Sean O’Driscoll’s men have sporadically teased their fans with results, only to follow them up on almost every occasion with equally poor ones.
But since the festive period, Donny have really clicked and the return of Jason Price from injury has coincided with a five match unbeaten run, during which they have notched eleven goals and conceded only two.
Put simply, that's promotion form and while most pundits will understandably back Leeds’ fantastic support to roar them to victory, there is a real quality about Donny’s squad and we take them to pinch this in what should be a cracking atmosphere at Elland Road.

Verdict: Leeds 0-1 Doncaster

Leeds v Doncaster preview
Whites may be unchanged, Rovers have players back

Leeds United have an unchanged squad for the visit of Doncaster Rovers, who have a string of players back.
Dennis Wise could stick with the XI who started the 1-0 win at Crewe on Monday, which was secured by Jermaine Beckford's header.
Recent signings Peter Sweeney, Darren Kenton and Bradley Johnson could all make their home debuts for Leeds.
Rui Marques is away on African Cup of Nations duty, while Ian Westlake will have a late fitness test on an ankle injury.

Matthew Mills is among several players who could feature for Rovers after the on-loan defender recovered from a knee injury.
Brian Stock has shaken off a knee injury suffered against Carlisle last week and is fit to be involved.
Fellow midfielders Jason Price and Paul Green have both overcome knocks they sustained in training during the week.
Striker Paul Heffernan was ruled out due to shingles following an ankle injury, but is also available to boost O'Driscoll's squad.

Timely boost for Rovers
Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll will welcome back a host of players for the Yorkshire derby at Leeds United.
Defender Matthew Mills comes into contention after he returned to the Keepmoat Stadium for his second loan sell with Rovers from Manchester City, and has made good progress in training after recovering from knee surgery.
Brian Stock was forced off late on in last week's 1-0 victory at Carlisle due to a knee injury but the midfielder has recovered in time for the trip to Elland Road.
Fellow midfielders Jason Price and Paul Green have both overcome knocks they sustained in training during the week.
Striker Paul Heffernan was ruled out due to shingles following an ankle injury but has now recovered and is available for the promotion challengers

Tell me - I've got to know
Tell me - Tell me before I go
Does that flame still burn, does that fire still glow
Or has it died out and melted like the snow
Tell me  Tell me
