Kamp 29/2:

ROBINS SECURE VALUABLE POINT
Cheltenham grabbed another vital point in their bid to avoid the drop with a battling 1-1 draw against high-flyers Southend.
The hosts took a 25th-minute lead when some brilliant skill from striker Steven Gillespie saw him dance his way past three defenders before squaring the ball to Steve Brooker to tap home.
The Robins could have added a second soon after the break when Gillespie sent a looping 30-yard effort narrowly over the crossbar.
But Southend drew level 16 minutes from time when leading scorer Nicky Bailey followed up a blocked effort from Jimmy Walker to fire home via the upright.
Steve Tilson's side almost grabbed victory and a place in the top six through skipper Adam Barrett but his last-gasp header cleared the crossbar.

GLOVERS EASE RELEGATION FEARS

Yeovil eased their relegation worries with a spirited performance that brought them only their second win in 13 games as they beat fellow strugglers Cheltenham 2-1.
They went ahead after eight minutes when Andy Kirk embarked on a superb 60-yard run and appeared to lose control but Robins defender Andy Lindergaard blasted a clearance against colleague Alan Wright and the ball rebounded into the net.
Yeovil continued to create the better chances although Wright could have atoned for his own goal in the 35th minutes when he hammered an 18-yard free kick into the defensive wall.
Cheltenham continued to push for the equaliser and it came after 64 minutes when Ashley Vincent got in a cross from the right and loanee Steve Brooker picked his spot at the far post to fire in.
But the Glovers grabbed the winner 16 minutes from time when a throw-in found its way to Kirk and he fired in from close range.

Riktignok bare

We'll be back.

Leeds boss eyes treble tonic

Gary McAllister wants the Whites to pick up another six points from their games against teams at the bottom
Speaking after the 2-0 win over Bournemouth, he told BBC Radio Leeds: "Before the game I made it clear to the lads it was a big week.
"We're playing against three teams at the bottom, and we've started well."
Leeds travel to Port Vale at the weekend after Tuesday night's home game against Cheltenham.

Casper - Kenton, Rui, Lubo, Hughes - Howson, Prutton, Thompson - Kilkenny - Freedman, Beckford.

Leeds v Cheltenham

Leeds striker Tresor Kandol is expected to recover from a knee injury in time to feature, while new loan signing Dougie Freedman is hoping to start.
Andy Hughes has returned to full fitness, but skipper Jonathan Douglas is not quite ready to return.

Cheltenham hope to hand a debut to defender Richard Keogh, if he ties up his loan move from Bristol City.
Midfielder Scott Brown sits out the final game of a three-match ban and Michael Townsend is short of fitness.

Kandol expected to shake off knock

Leeds striker Tresor Kandol is expected to shake off a knee injury in time to face Cheltenham at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
Kandol was forced off just before the final whistle in Saturday's win over Bournemouth, but is expected to be included in Gary McAllister's squad.
The Leeds manager has several selection dilemmas, with new loan signing Dougie Freedman hoping to start after making a late appearance on Saturday.
Midfielder Andy Hughes has also returned to full fitness after a knee injury and also made a late substitutes' appearance over the weekend.
Skipper Jonathan Douglas is back in training following knee ligament damage which has kept him out since December, but is not expected to be included for several more weeks.
Alan Thompson is also an option after being left out of the squad to face Bournemouth.

Freedman on historic hopes

Crystal Palace's loaned-out Scottish striker Dougie Freedman has spoken to BBC Radio Leeds and revealed his hopes to be part of an historic promotion season at Leeds United following their 15 point deduction.
"To be part of a historic promotion would be great. I'm here to try and help the lads and add that bit of experience.
"The way the lads have been playing I may not get a game, but I'd take that on the chin if we keep winning.
"If they do have a dip in form the manager knows I'm on the bench and can do my bit."
"The manager likes to get it down and pass. Leeds want the fans to be on the edge of their seats by playing entertaining football.
"I think we are trying to do it the right way and if it gets us promotion then good. That's how the manager wants it done and how the fans would like to see it done."
Freedman made his debut in the 2-0 home win over Bournemouth last Saturday. He was a 69th minute substitute.

NB! Nærmer det seg iikje en tv-kamp snart?

Sleivind
