Minnekamp arrangeres for Gary Speed...
LUFC Memorial game arranged for Speed.
Wales have announced that they will play Costa Rica in a memorial game for former manager and Leeds United midfielder Gary Speed, who died in November.
The game will take place at the Cardiff City stadium on Wednesday February 29th and will be their first international since his death..
42-year-old Speed was the current Wales manager when he was found dead at his home on November 27th.
The game against Costa Rica has been arranged after Speed made his international debut for Wales against the Central American side in 1990, before going on to represent his country on 85 occasions.
Speed, a product of the Leeds United youth set up, was part of the side that won the Second Division title in 1990 and the League Championship two years later.
He was part of one of the finest quartets ever to play across the Leeds midfield, alongside David Batty, Gordon Strachan and Gary McAllister.
Speed went on to play 312 times for Leeds, scoring 57 times in an eight-year spell at Elland Road.
Tickets for the game are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors and senior citizens.
They will go on sale on January 11th and are available from the Cardiff City ticket office.
