Where's Bates and Lorimer now saying the team is good enough to get promoted, and that we are all morons to think otherwise and because we demanded that he funnel some of that profit into building a decent squad, instead of expecting SG to pick up the scraps. They hired him and he's saying it like he sees it. Now while I'm against the hoof ball, if his mouth forces Bates to open his wallet, then great. And rest assured, if he leaves or gets fired he will be all over Bates and the way Leeds is run, he only has about a year and is about to retire, and probably wouldn't need to keep quiet in exchange for a few thousand in compensation.

Grayson satset på kvantitet fremfor kvalitet. Warnock kommer ikke til å få 100 millioner mer enn Grayson å rutte med neste sesong, så det blir spennende å se hvordan pengene blir brukt.

LUST Board Banned From Buying Tickets

The war of words between the club and the Leeds United Supporters trust heightened this week with Ken Bates spending a good proportion of his weekly Yorkshire Radio interview discussing the trust and their recent open letter and protest march. During his interview the chairman commented “The way they are behaving is the most peculiar because they make no impression on the club at all”, he followed this up by saying “Doesn’t make any impression on the management of the club does it? It doesn’t make an impression on the directors of the club”.

Given the lack of impression that the trust is making on the club it is therefore surprising to find out that the club have now placed a block on the online ticket purchasing accounts of the trusts chairman and board. Trust chairman Gary Cooper contacted the club’s Chief Executive Shaun Harvey for an explanation, and was told in an email from Harvey that: “In simple terms we are exercising our right only to sell tickets to those who we wish to do so”.

It’s a fairly sad situation to be in, especially for a club with the word ‘United’ in the name. I was hoping that the appointment of a new manager would begin a new era. An era of new beginnings, where those players side-lined would feel they had a chance under the new manager, where fans would unite behind the team in a bid for promotion and where the club and fans organisations could amicably discuss issues and ways forward for the benefit of the club. It seems that dream was farfetched.

Ken Bates described the trust as “self-appointed, self-important people, who are an irritant to the overwhelming majority of the Leeds fans”, perhaps he should take a look in the mirror. Comments and actions such as these only go to put the club in a bad light. The weekly broadcasts have become an embarrassment to many Leeds fans and perhaps only go to enforce those points the trust has been making recently.

Etter som Grayson fikk penger til ca 10 spillere han ikke trengte, sitter Warnock igjen med penger til ca 50% høyere gjennomsnittslønn. Det er da vel ikke så trist...

Det verste med Bates er at han i hardt press står "sterkest". Han har uttalt at han hele livet har kjempet mot strømmen og at han liker seg best i stormen. Det virker rett og slett som om han heller vil være hatet enn å spille på lag med andre, om det ikke gjøres på og etter absolutt ALLE hans prinsipper, måter og planer.

Godt å se at det bruser blant fansen og at flere og flere kjemper mot han, men jeg tror absolutt ikke det vil virke. Dette med boycotting av kamper også; jeg tror nesten Bates ville tapt enorme summer, kun for å "vise" oss, selv om stadion sto tom.

Saying that Agents/Managers/Players are on holiday early on.

Agents are unrealistic in wage demands, especially early on.

Says club has paid £13.5 million in players wages/agents/fees + VAT this season.

Price freeze of tickets and increases in cost means we will have a decreased revenue of equivalent to 2 home games next season.

Also says the cost of paying off Simon Grayson, Ian Snodin and Ian Miller also reduce the funds.

Wants a squad of just 22/23 players next season.

Players arent fit enough, we are going to look at our pre season training to try improve this for next season

Unnskyldningene kommer tidlig denne gangen. Håper Warnock er en luring på overgangsmarkedet og bruker de få pundene han får meget fornuftig.

Det er tungt å være Leeds-supporter om dagen. Vi har et dårlig lag som spiller dårlig fotball, og en styreformann som kjører klubben vår sakte men sikkert i grøfta.

Interresant lesning dette. Hvis dette er reelle tall. Ja da viser det med all tydelighet at gubben rett å slett er fornøyd med slik ståa er. Han er ingen fan av Leeds. Han har tjent netto til egen lomme på spillerkjøp og salg ca 2.240.000.pund. Og han melker klubben for penger hver bidige sesong.
For en stund siden gikk han ut og sa at han vilkle at Leeds United skulle fjernes fra denne planeten. Så det å heller tjene penger på vår elendighet. Ja det må da være perfekt for en som hater Leeds United

Hvis tall er fasiten, skulle ikke Arsenal og Newcastle ligget i toppen, mens Liverpool, Aston Villa, Sunderland og Stoke burde ligget langt høyere.

For all del, Bates har ikke bygget noe lag i sin periode på Elland Road, men det faktum at klubben har nettoinntekter på transfersiden er ikke (hele) grunnen til det. Joda, jeg er klar over at vi ikke spiller i Premier League og at verdiene dermed er større, kontra PL-lagenes tall.

Det virkelige sinnsyke her er at Stoke og Bolton bruker 100 millioner kroner mer enn de selger for årlig! Og like overraskende, for min del, er det at Newcastle går i pluss på overgangsvinduet.
