SirOlsen

Nok engang kjelvi, FLOTT!! STÃ... PÃ...! :)

Veldig bra!

OOOOOHH AHHHHH DERRY IS GONNA GET YA!!!
Forever Leeds United!!!!!!!!

Læshy

Nå skal det være sagt at Beckford spilte meget bra i League One, i sitt leieopphold. Han var en del av Scunthorpe (riktig lag?) som rykket opp, samtidig som han ble sett på som en meget lovende spiller da han kom til oss.

It´s only one United... Leeds United!

super intro til L1, kjelvi.
Kjenner jo knapt noen av spillerne fra før av, føler meg helt blank, det blir som å begynne å interessere seg for engelsk fotball på nytt.

Kjenner meg 12 år gammel, he-he.

auren

Vel...

League One transfers

CREWE ALEXANDRA WILL SIGN George Abbey on a one-year contract this week after the defender was released by Port Vale at the end of last season. Ryan Lynch, the former Coventry City left back, is also expected to join on a one-year deal after impressing on trial.

Gillingham are hoping to sign Chris Dickson, the Charlton Athletic striker, and Kevin O’Connor, the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfield player, on loan. Dickson joined Charlton from Dulwich Hamlet in March but was unable to play for the first team because he had been signed outside the transfer window.
“Chris is a quality finisher,” Ronnie Jepson, the Gillingham manager, said. “He played for us behind closed doors last season. Pards [Alan Pardew, the Charlton manager] knows of my interest and if he is going to let him out then hopefully he can put him in our direction.”

Alan Wright, the former Aston Villa full back, could join Oldham Athletic in the coming days after impressing on trial.

Hibernian have signed Filipe Morais from Millwall on a two-year contract. The Portuguese midfield player spent the second half of last season on loan to St Johnstone after moving to Millwall from Chelsea last summer.

Walsall have signed Edrissa Sonko, the Gambia winger, on a one-year contract.

2007-08 Preview: F365 Focus On League One (And Two)

I wouldn't bother going to watch many League One games this season if I were you.

Instead, stay right there and follow all the interesting news on Football365. And by 'interesting news', of course I mean the utter hilariousness of Leeds United.

At the start of the summer it was difficult to imagine how Dirty Leeds could get any funnier, but then the Football League did us all proud and pulled a 15-point penalty out of the bag.

You really have to deeply sympathise with Leeds fans. They have the most despicable men in football in charge of their club, who humiliate them more and more with every passing day. Ken Bates' indignant swipes at the cheek of the Inland Revenue for pursuing more than 8p in every pound they (or rather 'You and I') are owed must make loyal Whites weep.

There are now seven league titles (proper ones too) between the sides in League One, meaning that there is likely to be more attention than ever on the division this season.

I should probably come clean and say I am a Forest fan, so you can understand why I find the debacle at Elland Road funnier than most, given that at the very least they are likely to take some of the heat off us this year.

Luckily for Forest, every 'fall from grace' story will now be about United rather than the Reds.

I for one will be stocking up on canned goods and stroke mags, Renton style, and retiring to a sealed, TV-less room for the week leading up to the Forest v Leeds match on August 25. Can you imagine the coverage? I want none of it.

And so to who will go up this season. Accusations of bias will come I'm sure, but who out there is going to argue with me that Forest should walk the division?

Colin Calderwood has made five excellent signings in Neil Lennon, Matt Lockwood from Leyton Orient, Arron Davies and Chris Cohen from Yeovil, and Kelvin Wilson from Preston, as well as securing Kris Commons for another year - there is simply no stronger squad in the division.

Of course, Forest should've gone up in each of the last two seasons, so I'm not holding my breath.

As for Leeds, their chances were slim to none before the points deduction, but now they may even face a struggle to stay up. Rotherham began last season on minus ten, and even after a blistering start featuring promotion form, they still went down. Most of Leeds' decent players have quite sensibly jumped ship, leaving the likes of Tresor Kandol to once again masquerade as footballers, and while Jermaine Beckford should do well at this level, they are struggling elsewhere.

And so to the rest. Oldham did themselves no favours by snapping up Lee Hughes, fresh from the chokey, while Latics fans won't be thrilled with the sight of Michael Ricketts lumbering into Boundary Park. However, they pulled off something of a coup by signing Craig Davies, who impressed on loan at Wolves last season.

Swansea always look threatening, although Lee Trundle's departure will be a big blow. It will be interesting to see how Crewe get on without Dario Gradi at the helm, while Luton have made some clever signings, but could be hampered by their board's insistence on selling their best players.

There is always one side that takes everyone by surprise in League One - last time it was Blackpool, but this season Doncaster could well be your team.

James Hayter has joined from Bournemouth, Richie Wellens from Blackpool, and highly-rated winger Martin Woods from Rotherham. Tina Turner lookalike Jason Price remains in their squad, but other than that Rovers look well set to challenge the big guns.

In more good news for Forest and Leeds fans, apparently there is in fact a division below ours. Called League Two apparently.

Anyway, the fourth division is usually something of a lottery, although Darlington look to have recruited well and if MK Dons somehow hold on to Izale McCleod then they should challenge again. It says here.

#19
Sky Sports: League One season preview

The League One season promises to be something special with the addition of fallen giants Leeds United playing in the third tier of English football for the first time.
With none of the relegated trio (Leeds, Southend and Luton) primed for a swift Championship return, expect a fierce battle for the automatic promotion places.
Nottingham Forest are the pre-season favourites for promotion after falling in the play-off semi-finals to Yeovil Town last season.
Doncaster Rovers are being tipped to impress while the likes of Swansea City, Oldham Athletic and Millwall will all be looking to challenge for the top two.
Leyton Orient, Bournemouth and Cheltenham are likely to struggle, although Leeds' 15-point penalty means they are up against it from the start.

* Bournemouth 66/1

The Cherries' small squad means it could be a season of struggle for Kevin Bond's South Coast side, who finished just five points clear of the drop zone last term.
Bond has brought in striker Jo Kuffour and experienced midfielder Paul Telfer from Celtic, but they have also lost the likes of James Hayter, Steve Fletcher and Stephen Purches.

* Brighton 33/1
Brighton will need to improve upon their home form if they are to have any hopes of challenging for a play-off spot.
The Seagulls won just five of their 23 outings at The Withdean last term, although the capture of experienced hit-man Nicky Forster should boost their output.

* Bristol Rovers 25/1
Last season's League Two play-off winners have it all to do to avoid the drop, but underestimate Paul Trollope's Pirates at your peril.
With Trollope bringing in David Pipe, Joe Jacobsen and Andy Williams this summer expect Rovers to be fighting for their lives this season.

* Carlisle 20/1

The loss of striker Karl Hawley is likely to hit Carlisle hard, although manager Neil McDonald has brought in Middlesbrough's Danny Graham to replace the free-scoring forward.
The Cumbrians finished eighth last season and they may find it hard going to achieve a top half of the table finish this time around.

* Cheltenham 66/1
The Robins are among the favourites for relegation following the departures of Kayode Odejayi, Craig Armstrong and JJ Melligan.
Cheltenham finished in 17th last season thanks to impressive away form, but a repeat this time around could be hard to come by for John Ward's troops.

* Crewe 33/1
Crewe would settle for a mid-table finish now following a summer in which a number of first-team players have departed.
The Alex have lost the likes of Luke Varney, Billy Jones and Jon Otsemobor as Dario Gradi looks to blood the next generation of the club's production line.

* Doncaster 8/1
Astute summer captures mean Doncaster are nicely poised to mount a serious challenge for promotion this season.
The acquisition of Bournemouth's James Hayter should prove a good piece of business along with the return of veteran keeper Neil Sullivan.

* Gillingham 25/1
Gills boss Ronnie Jepson has been busy in the transfer market this summer bringing in no less than ten fresh faces.
Steve Lomas looks an astute midfield capture along with former Sheffield Wednesday striker David Graham.

* Hartlepool 25/1
Manager Danny Wilson would settle for survival if it was offered to him before the season started.
Wilson has brought in former Leeds duo Robbie Elliott and Ian Moore to what looks a squad more than capable of holding their own.

* Huddersfield 16/1
The Terriers will need to improve their away form if they are to mount a serious bid for the play-offs this season.
Andy Ritchie has bagged experienced duo Frank Sinclair and Danny Cadamarteri, although it could be season of struggle for the West Yorkshire outfit.

* Leeds 25/1
The Whites' 15-point deduction is likely to make it impossible for a swift Championship return. If anything, Leeds could be dragged into a relegation dog-fight.
Leeds boss Dennis Wise has retained keeper Casper Ankergren, although the loss of a number of experienced faces leaves the club somewhat of an unknown quantity.

* Leyton Orient 66/1
The O's have made no less than eight close-season signings, although it is the loss of Matt Lockwood which could be a key transfer.
Orient finished one place above the drop zone last term and boss Martin Ling will be hoping to avoid any relegation scares come May.

* Luton 16/1
Kevin Blackwell arrived too late to keep Luton up last term, but after a full pre-season under his belt he will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes.
Blackwell has added much-needed experience to his squad in the likes of Paul Furlong, Paul Peschisolido, Chris Perry and Don Hutchison.

* Millwall 12/1
The Lions are being tipped to have a real push for promotion this season under manager Willie Donachie.
Veteran striker Neil Harris is likely to play a key role if the South East London outfit are to challenge for a top-six place.

* Northampton 33/1
A mid-table finish beckons for The Cobblers despite a busy summer of transfer activity.
Colin Larkin, Ian Henderson and Daniel Jones have all been brought in while veteran midfielder Ian Taylor has retired.

* Nottingham Forest 11/4
The capture of Celtic midfielder Neil Lennon is surely the final piece of the puzzle for Colin Calderwood's squad.
Coupled with the captures of the dangerous Arron Davies and Matt Lockwood, it is hard to look past Forest for promotion.

* Oldham 14/1
If hit-man Michael Ricketts can return to his best then Oldham could have one of the most potent strikers in the division.
John Sheridan has also gambled on former West Brom favourite Lee Hughes while bringing in the experience of keeper Mark Crossley.

* Port Vale 40/1
Martin Foyle will be relying on Luke Rodgers to find the back of the net following striker Leon Constantine's Leeds switch.
The Valiants have brought in Shane Tudor, Justin Miller, Marc Richards, Paul Edwards and Craig Rocastle as Foyle looks to improve on last season's 12th placed finish.

* Southend 16/1
The loss of talismanic striker Freddy Eastwood was a blow for The Shrimpers, although free-scoring Charlie McDonald has been brought in.
The signing of Kerrea Gilbert on loan from Arsenal could prove an astute capture for manager Steve Tilson.

* Swansea 11/1
The Swans will parade a new strike force this term with Jason Scotland and Darryl Duffy replacing Lee Trundle and Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Along with the loss of fans' favourite Trundle the Welsh outfit also lost defender Izzy Iriekpen on a free transfer to Scunthorpe.

* Swindon 40/1
Despite a number of summer arrivals, Paul Sturrock's side might prove too small to survive in League One at the first time of asking.
Hasney Aljofree is likely to play a key role for The Robins, who finished third in League Two last season.

* Tranmere 20/1
Tranmere are the dark horses of the division this season, despite a ninth placed finish last time around.
The captures of Antony Kay, Jack Obersteller, Danny Coyne, Adnan Ahmed and Ben Chorley give Ronnie Moore's side real hope ahead of the new campaign.

* Walsall 33/1
Last season's League Two champions will be hopeful of staying up thanks to some experienced arrivals.
Tommy Mooney, Danny Sonner and Paul Boertien all have the qualities required and will fight to keep The Saddlers up.

* Yeovil 25/1
Russell Slade could find it hard going to achieve last season's lofty position of fifth following Arron Davies' exit to Forest.
Slade has made a number of close-season captures, with QPR's feisty midfielder Marc Bircham among the pick of the arrivals.

Stuart Gray (manager Northampton) on League One
League One looks a bit stronger this season than it was last time around.

The teams that came down from the Championship, coupled with the teams that came up from League Two and those that didn't get out last season, mean it is going to be difficult.
It will be a tough season and harder to get into the play-offs and get out.
The teams that have come down have a bit more of an advantage as they tend to carry bigger squads, whereas the teams in my league have to work with a tight budget.

The relegated teams have more choice. My own experience is that we are carrying a thin squad and you need to bring in one or two loan players.
That means you are relying on being as fit as possible but then injuries and suspensions start to bite and that is when you go out and look to bring in a loan player.
The other thing is that most of the time we play on Saturdays and in midweek, what with the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and if you have a bit of success in the League Cup, plus there are League games to fit in as well.
People say about there being only four teams able to compete for the Premier League, and in the Championship any of 12 teams could go up.
But in this division, you have three leagues - based on wage bills, budgets and attendances.
Of the teams that came down, I'm not sure about Leeds' financial situation, Southend have been in this division before and are carrying Championship players.

If somebody told me three years ago that we would be playing against Leeds and Nottingham Forest in this division, I would not have believed them.
It is going to be tough for Leeds. I know my team will certainly get a lift going to play at Elland Road, purely because of the history surrounding the place and the size of the stadium.
I think other teams will get a lift as well and Leeds might find it hard to win home games.
But they still have quality players and if they get off to a good start, you couldn't rule them out.

My old club, Nottingham Forest, came so close to getting out of the division last year when they were 2-0 up after the first-leg of their play-off semi-final against Yeovil.
Scunthorpe did a fantastic job last season to get up on their limited resources.
They did it by having two solid banks of four and two strikers who scored bags of goals. People look at what they did and say 'if they can do it, so can we'.
Blackpool also had a good run towards the end of the season and showed how a team can suddenly emerge from the pack.
Hartlepool, Walsall, Swindon and Bristol Rovers have come up and they are all good teams, with impressive managers.
If you are looking for a team to do a Blackpool and emerge from the pack, there might be a surprise package among them.

For promotion, I don't think you can look too far from Forest. Colin Calderwood still has his quality players.
I also think Doncaster will be there or thereabouts. What manager Sean O'Driscoll has done is bring in good players and he has acquired strength in depth.

Sky Sports: League One round-up
Leeds grab late victory as life begins in third tier

Leeds United began life in League One with a 2-1 win at Tranmere.
English football's fallen giants fell behind to a Chris Greenacre goal but hit back through a Matt Heath header before Tresor Kandol bagged a late winner.
On a day lacking in goals, the most incident-packed game was at Whadden Road where three players were sent off in Cheltenham's 1-0 win over Gillingham.
Luton Town, relegated from the Championship last season, were one of only seven clubs to pick up three points, beating Hartlepool 2-1 while Crewe beat Brighton 2-1.

Cheltenham 1-0 Gillingham
Three players were sent off as Cheltenham pipped the Gills. Stephen Gillespie scored the winner but was later dismissed for two bookable offences while Steve Lomas and Ian Cox saw red for the visitors.

Crewe 2-1 Brighton
A brace from Gary Roberts saw Crewe pick up maximum points against Brighton.
Alex had to come from behind after Dean Cox gave the visitors a ninth minute lead but Roberts was on hand to clinch the victory when he slotted home a penalty 11 minutes from time.

Doncaster 0-0 Millwall
Doncaster and Millwall failed to break the deadlock as they battled for a share of the spoils.

Huddersfield 1-0 Yeovil
Luke Beckett's 17th minute strike was enough to give Huddersfield the points as they came out on top against Yeovil.

Luton Town 2-1 Hartlepool
The Hatters' return to League One began well with victory over Hartlepool.
Darren Currie opened the scoring after 36 minutes before Alan Goodall made the points safe for the hosts. Richie Barker slotted home and injury time penalty but it was too little, too late for the visitors.

Northampton 1-1 Swindon
Christian Roberts' first-half penalty was enough to earn Swindon a point at Northampton.
The visitors had fallen behind to Andy Kirk's ninth minute strike but fought back thanks to Roberts' spot-kick a minute before half-time.

Nottingham Forest 0-0 Bournemouth
Nottingham Forest failed to recover from their play-off hangover as they were held to a goalless home draw by Bournemouth.
Sammy Clingan twice went close to breaking the deadlock when he hit the woodwork in each half but they were rare threats on the Bournemouth goal.
And it was not until the final minute of injury time that Bournemouth's debutant goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, on loan from Portsmouth, was forced into his first save.

Oldham 2-1 Swansea City
Craig Davies grabbed a last-minute winner as Oldham began the season with an ill-tempered 2-1 win over Swansea.
Davies was brought down in the box by defender Alan Tait after just two minutes and former Bolton striker Michael Ricketts made no mistake with a well-struck spot kick.
But Swansea dragged themselves back into the game when Trinidad & Tobago international Jason Scotland hammered the ball past keeper Mark Crossley from the edge of the box.
Oldham grabbed the winner in the last minute when Davies headed home a Deane Smalley cross from two yards while boss John Sheridan was sent to the stands.
Sheridan was escorted off by two police officers after protesting too much when loan signing Neil Kilkenny was brought down in a two man tackle.

Port Vale 1-1 Bristol Rovers
Andy Williams enjoyed a dream debut as he earned promoted Bristol Rovers a deserved 1-1 draw just four minutes after coming on as a substitute against Port Vale.
The former Hereford striker headed home in a goalmouth scramble after he had replaced a tiring Rickie Lambert.
Rovers, backed by nearly 2000 vociferous followers, made a confident start as they stepped up to the higher grade.
Lambert drew a smart save from Joe Anyon and debutant David Pipe headed over from eight yards.
Vale finally sprung to life and Jason Talbot's 35-yard strike was well saved by Steve Phillips before a driving run from Luke Rodgers ended with a shot into the side netting.
Vale went ahead with Rodgers making no mistake from the spot after Phillips had stumbled into substitute Callum Willock.

Southend 1-2 Leyton Orient
Goals from debutants Sean Thornton and Adam Boyd secured Orient an opening-day win against 10-man Southend.
Southend took the lead when Alan McCormack's cross from the left was helped back in by Mark Gower and the ball went in off keeper Stuart Nelson's foot.
Orient equalised when Thornton rifled a 30-yard free kick into the top right hand corner of the net.
The Shrimpers were reduced to 10 men when McCormack was sent off for a second bookable offence after fouling Thornton.
Orient sought to press home their numerical advantage but saw strikers Wayne Gray and Boyd fire tame shots at Darryl Flahavan.
Boyd secured the points when he turned in substitute Efe Echanomi's cross from the right four minutes from time.

Tranmere 1-2 Leeds Utd
Tresor Kandol grabbed a last-minute winner for fallen giants Leeds against Tranmere at Prenton Park.
Leeds, starting their first campaign in the third tier of English football with a 15-point deduction, went behind in the 21st minute when Chris Greenacre arrived at the back post to convert a Chris Shuker cross.
Leeds fought back after the break and Matt Heath headed home a 54th-minute free-kick from skipper Alan Thompson.
Then Kandol bundled home an Andy Hughes cross a minute from time to complete Leeds' comeback.

Walsall 1-1 Carlisle Utd
Veteran striker Tommy Mooney struck in the second half to earn a point for Walsall.
Mooney struck two minutes after the break to cancel out Kevin Gall's opener.

Oppsummering 18/8:

ABBOTT BRINGS ORDER TO CUMBRIANS

Managerless Carlisle recorded their second win in as many games since parting company with former boss Neil McDonald, as they beat Oldham 1-0 in Coca-Cola League One.
Caretaker-manager Greg Abbott oversaw his first win at the helm in midweek when the Blues beat Bury by the same score in the Carling Cup.
Danny Graham - signed on a permanent basis in the summer following a successful loan spell at the end of last season - was the scorer this time, converting from the penalty spot in the 41st minute following a foul on Joe Garner.

Leeds continued to claw back some of the 15 points they were docked before the season began, scoring three times in the closing 10 minutes to seal a 4-1 win over Southend.
Alan Thompson (three) and Adam Barrett (69) saw their goals cancel each other out but the Yorkshire side turned on the style in the latter stages with substitute Tore Andre Flo putting them ahead after 80 minutes.
Rui Marques put daylight between the sides two minutes from time when he headed home a corner and Jermaine Beckford made it four in injury-time.

Meanwhile, only Leyton Orient and Huddersfield can still boast 100% records and six points after two matches.
Orient looked to have blown their chance against Walsall when Adam Boyd wasted a 36th-minute penalty but fellow striker Wayne Gray ensured he did not rue the miss when he converted seven minutes after the break.
Huddersfield also won by the narrowest of margins, Luke Beckett's header the only thing that could separate them from hosts Bournemouth.

Nottingham Forest are still in search of their first win of the season after a second draw, this time against Swansea.
Again, scoring was the problem in a goalless outing and Forest have yet to find the net in three league and cup matches this season.

Midfielder Daniel Spiller scored the only goal of the game as Millwall took three points from Cheltenham, pouncing in first-half injury-time after good work from Neil Harris.

There was only one goal in it at Huish Park as well, with Justin Cochrane's 17th-minute strike the difference between Yeovil and Port Vale.

Brighton got off to a flying start against Northampton, opening the scoring after two minutes through a Dean Hammond penalty before Andy Kirk (23) levelled the scores.
Alex Revell then got the winner after 66 minutes, heading past Mark Bunn.

Lee Peacock and Craig Easton scored the goals that helped Swindon defeat Luton 2-1.
The pair scored either side of David Edwards' 56th-minute strike to put Swindon on four points from their two outings.

Bristol Rovers' Craig Disley and Crewe's Tom Pope scored a goal apiece to cancel each other out at the Memorial Stadium, while Tranmere ran out 2-0 winners over Gillingham - Chris Greenacre and Steve Davies scoring.

Liverpool loanee Godwin Antwi gave Hartlepool the lead at half-time in their match against Doncaster but it needed a late Richie Barker penalty to claim a 2-1 win after James Hayter had equalised.

Leyton Orient maintained their 100% start to the Coca-Cola League One season with a 2-0 win at Crewe.

John Melligan's long-range effort after 35 minutes gave Orient the lead at Gresty Road before a late penalty from Adam Boyd with five minutes left sealed the points following Gary Roberts' foul on Adam Chambers

Carlisle are now second after they ended Huddersfield's perfect start by the same scoreline at Galpharm Stadium.

Danny Livesey's tap-in and a header from Joe Garner late in the first half were enough to take the Cumbrians above their opponents on seven points.

Tranmere are third after a 2-0 win over 10-man Brighton, who saw Andrew Whing dismissed in the dying moments.

His red card came moments before Chris Shuker's sealer in injury-time after Chris Greenacre (78) had put Rovers ahead.

The lunchtime kick-off saw a clash between two fallen giants at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest hosted Leeds.

And it was the visitors who emerged with a last-gasp 2-1 win thanks to Jermaine Beckford's close-range finish in the 89th minute.

United had led through Tresor Kandol before Kris Commons equalised.

The result means Leeds are now on -6 points after three straight wins, just eight points behind their struggling opponents.

Gillingham are a place above Leeds and still searching for their first point after a 3-1 loss at Luton.

David Bell, Paul Furlong and Matt Spring's penalty were enough for the Hatters, after Mark Bentley had levelled for the visitors.

Port Vale are only one point better off after a 2-0 loss to Hartlepool courtesy of goals by Matty Robson (six) and James Brown (88).

Walsall's 3-1 home defeat by Swansea leaves them in the same boat after Martin Butler's opener was superseded by Andy Robinson's brace and a strike from Jason Scotland.

Doncaster also took the lead through Gordon Greer, but replies from Mark-Alain Gradel and Jo Kuffour mean Rovers are still on one point after a 2-1 defeat by Bournemouth.

Northampton are the other club languishing on a point after Lloyd Owusu's injury-time goal gave Yeovil a 2-1 win at Sixfields.

Justin Cochrane had opened the scoring for the visitors before Poul Hubertz appeared to have handed the Cobblers a point.

A goal from Nick Bailey was enough to break Southend's duck with a 1-0 win over Millwall, while Joe Jacobson scored the only goal for Bristol Rovers at Oldham.

Blair Sturrock handed Swindon the lead at Cheltenham, only for substitute Ashley Vincent to level in a 1-1 draw.

Sky: League One Round-up
Orient maintain winning start
League leaders Leyton Orient kept their 100 per cent record in tact as they beat Crewe 2-0 at Gresty Road.
Orient continue to top the League One table as Huddersfield slipped up as they were on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat at home to Carlisle, who move up to second spot.
Southend, who had so far failed to pick up any points this season, won 1-0 at home to Millwall to earn themselves three points, whilst fellow strugglers Gillingham were beaten 3-1 at Luton and remain without a point this term.
Yeovil earned themselves a late 2-1 win at Northampton.

Cheltenham 1 Swindon 1
Blair Sturrock had fired visitors Swindon into the lead in the 35th minute, but Ashley Vincent netted in the 72nd minute to even out the score.

Crewe 0 Leyton Orient 2
JJ Melligan opened the scoring in the 35th minute for Leyton Orient before Adam Boyd converted a penalty in the 85th minute to earn Orient three points at Crewe and continue their unbeaten start to the season.

Doncaster 1 Bournemouth 2
Doncaster had taken the lead in the 24th minute thanks to Gordon Greer but Bournemouth bounced back with goals from Mark-Alain Gradel in the 28th minute and a goal from Jo-Osei Kuffour in the 46th minute to earn their first win of the new campaign.

Huddersfield 0 Carlisle 2
Huddersfield suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Carlisle. Danny Livesey opened the scoring in the 34th minute before Joe Garner added the second after 44 minutes to move them up to second place in the table.

Luton 3 Gillingham 1
David Bell put Luton ahead in the 17th minute before struggling Gillingham equalised courtesy of a Mark Bentley goal in the 22nd minute. But Luton fired themselves ahead again in the 27th minute after Paul Furlong scored before Matthew Spring made sure of the win with an 80th minute spot kick.

Northampton 1 Yeovil 2
A last gasp winner in the 93rd minute from Lloyd Owusu handed Yeovil victory at Sixfields. Justine Cochrane had earlier fired them ahead in the 26th minute but it took Northampton just six minutes to pull themselves level as Poul Hubertz netted.

Nottingham Forest 1 Leeds 2
Leeds United scored a last-gasp winner against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground to pile more misery on winless Forest in an early kick-off.
Leeds took the lead through Tresor Kandol after 17 minutes before Kris Commons' 49th-minute free-kick levelled the scores and gave the home side their first goal of the season.
But an 89th-minute close range strike from Jermaine Beckford was enough to secure all three points for Dennis Wise's side.

Oldham 0 Bristol Rovers 1
Bristol ran out 1-0 winners at Oldham after a lone first half strike from Joe Jacobson (38) handed them all three points.

Port Vale 0 Hartlepool 2
A Matty Robson goal put Hartlepool ahead in the sixth minute but it took them a while to find the second as James Brown scored in the 88th minute.

Southend 1 Millwall 0
Nick Bailey's 55th minute strike handed Southend their first win of the season, and with it their first points in the League One table at Millwall's expense.

Tranmere 2 Brighton 0
Two late goals handed Tranmere victory at Prenton Park. Chris Greenacre opened their account in the 78th minute before Chris Shuker added the second on 94.

Walsall 1 Swansea 3
Walsall had taken the lead early on with a goal from Martin Butler in the seventh minute but their joy was shortlived as Swansea equalised in the 12th minute through Andy Robinson before going ahead in the 26th minute with a goal from Jason Scotland. Robinson added his second from the spot in the 66th minute to compound the host's misery.
